History

Over the years two members have always been involved with the sound and development of the band, Jon "Messiah" B and Jeff "Misfit" Friedman. After their first band Kaotic Conflict broke up, Jon had a desire to create a band with music that was devoted to fun and not so much the sound of the day. The initial theme revolved around citrus products and dairy. The very first concept song was called "Apple Milk" which was a song about apple schnapps and milk. After the song was written, it was not used for the simple fact that alcohol was not part of Jon's vision in life. Happiness and fun was, so the song "Citrus Cow" was created. The song is about a Cow with grapefruit utters and defines what the "Citrus Cow" is. Since then, the thrill and fun has not stopped. All of the recordings to this day were all self recorded in the basement or some room of a house. The upcoming "Grazing the field" album will be the first that is recorded in a studio.

We would like to thank everyone who previously played in Citrus Cow:
Tony Costa - Guitar on "Jazz Thing" - Now with the band "Exit 117"
Jay Flemm - Drums on "In the Basement" demo and "Jazz Thing" - Where abouts unknown.
Paul McGary - for his insight "I'd have babies through my spleen" - Served in the Navy, now drifting through space.
