Broadway and Plays

Besides having a phenomenal voice for rock and roll, Sebastian has proven he has the pipes to perform other types of music as well. From June to October of 2000, Sebastian stepped in as a replacement for the lead role in Jekyll and Hyde on Broadway. From the clean, challenging vocal lines of "This is the Moment," to the dualing personality change from calm Jekyll to growling Hyde in "Confrontation," Sebastian showed his fans, and the Broadway audience, that he can do it all. He won a Broadway.com award for Favorite Male Replacement.
Sebastian's second Broadway role lasted from October 2001 to January 2002. He played Riff Raff in a 10-week revival of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. There were many guest star narrators for the show, including Jerry Springer and Penn and Teller. One of Riff Raff's songs, "Time Warp," he revamped to make a little more metal, and worked it into the set of his 2002 tour.
From November 2002 through March 2003, Sebastian played the title role in a national tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar. Since he had recently lost his father in 2002, it was a very meaningful story for him to portray. The musical's songs showed off his voice from the subdued singing to the screams.
