Avril Lavigne is looked down upon by all punks for misusing the look and message.....twisting it into something people think is now materialistic, and something closer to their former idols (ex. Britney Spears). In turn, the message is watered down, or more recreated, rather than twisted. I warn those who pretend they know what being a punk is all about, because they're a fan of hers. A fan of a girl who obviously has nothing better to do than sing about a cute guy, which turns out to mean nothing to the singer....I warn you, deep descrimination will come your way.
