BANDS
Bogside Rogues - One of the best Irish bands in Philly right now. Catch them at Paddy Whacks on a Sunday and you may just see Paul singing White City with them. Outset - Brett and Sue also play in this local alternative rock band. Always a good time and great music. Definately worth checking out. Brett Talley - Brett's personal site. Find out information for all of his upcoming solo shows as well as the world reknowned Hand In Hand Stuido's. This is where ITC does all of it's recording as well as the place some bands have done their frist recordings (Silvertide - ever hear of them?) Susan Steen - Sue's personal site. Check this out to find out about all, and there are a lot, of Sue's events. If you can't make it to an ITC show to see Sue's masterful musicianship, then check out one of her other events. Versatile is the word that comes to mind. The Pogues - How could I have a links page and not have the greatest Irish band to ever play be on it? It's not possible. The band that inspired Paul to play Irish music. CON - Longtime friend and fellow Cahillite Frank Daly heads up this band. They have a new album coming out in August 2005. It should be a great one. Frank handed me a The Pogues Hell's Ditch album one morning before school and from that point on I was hooked. So blame Frank. Or thank him, either way it's all good.
LABELS Dischord Records - A label started over 20 years ago by people who said, "F the major labels, we're going to do it on our own." Features bands such as Minor Threat, Fugazi, Blue Tip, Black Eyes and many more.

OTHER STUFF, PUBLICATIONS, ETC. Origivation Magazine - A great tool for bands that are already established and for ones just starting out. A great guide for all musicians on what's going on in the Philly music scene. Bar 411 - You can sign up and find out when and where a particular band is playing or what's going on at a club on any given night. Updates are sent weekly to you mailbox for the bands and clubs that you select. Go on and make Irish Terry Conklin one of your favorites.
