It is the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution that protects the right of demonstrators to express their opinions peacefully.

More than 200,000 women and men from all over the US converged on Washington,D.C.,on August 28, 1963, for a peaceful civil rights demonstration. The protester gathered to show support for a broad civil rights bill. During the demonstration, Martin Luther King, Jr., addressed the crowd and described his dream for equality and unity in America.

Members of the American Nazi Party also carried signs that year opposing racial integration during a march into the White House --- Although this might be offensive to some -- it is the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution that protects the right of demonstrators to express their opinions peacefully. This is what makes America beautiful.

Must History repeat itself? Clearly it was obvious that the most important stance taken during the 60's was the fight for civil liberties -- Are we going to give up what so many leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert Kennedy fought to defend with their lives?
