Maybe when Bush spoke of vampires -- perhaps what he really meant was he was about to raise an old form of sucking from the grave, he was about to revive a dead corpse, or perhaps resurrect one abolished policy that was sure to make the sleeping dead fumble in the dark and trip over their own rose colored glasses. Imagine sleeping and in the middle of the night because of a long distance phone call you made to an old college roommate you are suddenly placed into custody for questioning. In America today this can happen! Imagine being a card carrying Christian and still under suspect for your opinions. Imagine if all radio, television and newspaper coverage were completely contoured and edited so that you would only be presented with one World view Imagine yourself in the Twilight Zone and standing in the middle of a diner holding a cup of coffee, you see a newspaper on the counter and remark about it's headline and the individual reading it makes a phone call to another because of that opinion. You are then put under arrest by the 'thought police'. Imagine everyone being told by one guy that we're in a declared state of war but we're not, it just looks that way, and you say...well really when you think about it we've had greater tragedies in the course of American History and not once was violation of civil rights needed. Imagine if there was one loose cannon with hoards of money and political power who could point is finger in any direction he chose and said "You're it!" and then everyone believed him. Well, that's what Bush and Ashcroft are both doing. They want you to see only the pictures you are allowed to see, and will stop at nothing to try and convince the general population that we are in a severe state of emergency and everyone, must forfeit their rights. They want us all to be converted into believing their extreme measures of precaution are necessary forms of sacrifice in order for them to deflate the power of the individual. You see it happening all around....either people are oblivious to what's really going on and blindly accept and trust without complete verification (like our Bush) or they go along with the polls trusting without knowing. There are too many skeletons in this cabinets closet for some people.
