Dismantled was formed as an uncertain thought in November of 2000. From the beginning, their message and purpose was somewhat distorted, until Joey was brought onto the band wagon, and put the band's vision into focus. In the beginning of September 2001, Dieter was re-cruited as the singer, and it was also decided that he would be the band's bassist.
Dismantled mixes raw emotion with powerful, intelligently written metal music. They combine rythym, musically significant percussion, grinding guiar and pounding bass lines.
Shawn Crahan of slipknot said it best when he said, "We were able to cut into the wound, crawl inside, and stitch it up ourselves, and fester in the f*cking hurt."
