The pop/rock quartet Lifehouse is the idea chiefed by singer/songwriter Jason Wade, who originally tagged the band Blyss during Lifehouse's initial conception in 1996. After playing in various music scenes in Seattle and Portland, Wade brought Lifehouse to Los Angeles. Their thick sound has been compared to the likes of Live and Matchbox Twenty, but Wade insists Lifehouse is entirely original. They inked a deal with Dreamworks after years of gigging in L.A., and released their debut album No Name Face in fall 2000.
