Taxman

Taxman is the first cut on the landmark Revolver album, discreetly acknowledging the writing maturity of oft-overlooked songwriter George Harrison. The song is Harrison's lament to the ever-increasing tax burden placed on Britons in general and richer folk (such as the high-grossing Beatles) in particular. As with most Beatles commentary, those who want to ignore the message can still savor the great guitar licks. Ha ha, Mr. Wilson!
