Some day, some enterprising professor should do a sociological study of all the early-'60s Beatles songs that feature John Lennon in a womanizing, macho stance. (Maybe it's source material for Beatles 2?) In any case, as prime examples of this genre go, John's performance here is rip-rock-'n'-rollingly good, with appropriate guitar-bashing and wailing vocals.
