Like "Lovely Rita," Paul's other unassuming little number on Sgt. Pepper, this song offers more riches that an initial listening would indicate. With the song's more psychedelic aspects richly buried in the background, Paul's sense of idyllic resignation comes to the fore as his most understated optimism to date. (John's chirping chorus, "It can't get no worse," lends a little gravity to the situation.) An underrated McCartney gem.
