**Chapter 7; Weird Feelings**

******CHAPTER 7; WEIRD FEELINGS******

Jennifer tried her best to sleep that night right when she got home. It was crazy because it was still 8 pm, and there was no way she'd get any sleep that early. But she knew she had to get her mind off Brian. She looked at her window…. no tapping. For some reason, she wanted Matt to be at the window, bothering her again to go somewhere with him. She was so tired of all the lying and greed Brian had towards her, that she was just so thankful Matt was there to help her whenever she needed some one. Staring up at her bedroom ceiling looking at the glow in the dark stars, she remembered the night when her and Matt had looked up at the stars together. A smile shone brightly on her face. He was the sweetest thing ever. Slowly getting up on her feet, making sure her parents wouldn't hear her, she tiptoed to her window and gently lifted up the first glass shutter. She had no idea what she was doing, but she just knew she had to get out. She began laughing to herself, because she found the ladder which Matt accidentally forgot to put away. She slowly climbed down, and headed towards the beach. When she finally arrived there, the beach was empty. Staring at "Dreamer" from a distance, she knew that Matt wasn't there either, so she decided to go past his house and see what he was up to. Finally reaching his house, she glared into the windows, where she found the lights were still on in only one room. She couldn't quite tell who it was since it had been on the second floor, so she grabbed hold of the pipe running along the side of the house. Carefully stepping up, she heard something, or some one singing a tune. It sounded pretty awesome, so she rushed to get to the top. Still standing on the thin pole, she climbed up to the second floor, and stood outside of a window and sat down on the tiles. With perfect view of the lit room, Jen was able to see Matt sitting on his bed, strumming a guitar. The music was faint because the window had been closed and she couldn't make out the words, but something about the tune was so comforting. She rested her head on the window, still not visible to Matt, and closed her eyes.

Jen heard a voice call to her. "Jen? What the hell are you doing?" It was Brian, who somehow found her sitting on top of the Ballinger roof. She found Brian standing below, looking more furious than ever. He began stepping up the pipe to grab her down. "Leave me alone!" she yelled, terrified with his reaction. Luckily, Matt found her and opened the window. He grabbed her just before Brian could get to her. They both ran into Matt's bedroom closet to hide. Peeking through the cracks, Jen found Brian looking around the room. She was terrified and didn't know what to do. Matt gently rested her head on his shoulder and told her everything would be alright.

"JEN? JEN?" Jennifer woke up to find that she was still resting on the window sill. She looked up to find Matt standing there. "JEN?" "Oh My GOSH!" she yelled startled. She jumped to her feet, and tripped over the pipe, leading her to fall into a bush below. "OMG! Jen, are you ok?" Matt asked confused. "Jen? You there?" Matt asked, as he rushed down his stairs to help her. She quickly stood to her feet, hitting off the leaves which were caught in her clothes. Matt dashed out the front door. "JEN! What are you doing here? Are you alright?" he asked, laughing at her. He looked at her once more and laughed again. "Man Jen, you gotta get a new hobby." She stood there silent, not knowing what to say. What, was she suppose to say that she just wanted to spy on him through his bedroom window, that she just ACCIDENTALLY ended up on his roof……etc. "No, for real Jen. What was that all about, you sleeping outside my window? Don't tell me you've been doing this every night!" he looked at her like she was some psycho. "Oh, yeah…that!" she started, still unsure of what to say. She opened her mouth once again, hoping to give him a good answer. "Ummm….YOU LEFT THE LADDER OUTSIDE MY WINDOW!" she blurted. Nice one Jen, nice one, she thought. "WHAT?" he asked her, still unsure with what she was talking about. "I came by to tell you that you forgot to put my ladder away from when you climbed it to wake me up." Matt had nothing to say, he just stood there, kinda scared of her! lol. "So yeah, now that you know…I'm gonna go!" "Mathew?" they both heard someone call from the front porch. "A flashlight was beamed in front of Jen's face. "Is that a burglar?" "No mom! It's just a friend, go back to sleep!" he told her, rolling his eyes. "NUH UH!" Everyone looked up, to find Matt's younger brother Dave looking outside his window. "Yeah right he's his FRIEND, that's Matt's GIRRRRLFRIEND!" They both looked at each other, more embarrassed than ever. "Shut up Dave!" he yelled to him. "You know what? I think you should go?" he told her, kind of blushing. "Yeah, that's a good idea. Sorry about everything." she told him, and walked away, shaking her head in disbelief that she had just climbed the Ballinger roof. "WHAT AN IDIOT!" Jen told herself, when she arrived back in her room. She had no idea why she went there in the first place. "I'm no burglar!" she said. She had absolutely NO CLUE of why she wanted to see Matt or why she had that incredibly WEIRD dream! The feelings inside her were indescribable. "What's wrong with me???".
