The morning sun pierced through Jennifer's bedroom window. The day was perfect, and Jennifer had a long day ahead of her. "RING! RING! RING" "Urgh! It's too early!" she complained to herself. "RING! RING! RING!" "What?" Jennifer picked up. "Jen, get up! Let's go to the beach, it's perfect out!" Tiffany said. "5 more minutes!" Jennifer answered. "No Jen! Get up now! I wanna go out in the sun. I don't wanna wait till you get up, and trust me, that'll be tonight!" Tiffany waited for a reply on the other line, but heard nothing. "Jen?" she asked. "JEN????" Still laying in bed, Jennifer fell back asleep, avoiding the non-stop ringing of her phone. "JEN! Get up!" a voice called to her from her bedroom window. Slowly turning around to see who it had been, Jennifer was surprised to see Matt. "What the hell are you doing Matt? Why are you climbing up my window?" she asked with her eyes still closed. "Tiffany tells me you have a problem getting up!" he said with a big smile on his face. Jennifer fell back asleep. So Matt slowly climbed into her room, and decided to shake her. "Jen man, get up!" "Gimmie 2 minutes!" she replied. "Ok Jen, I didn't wanna have to do this, but you leave me no choice!" He left the room and headed down her hallway. A few moments later, he entered again, holding a water-gun. He began squirting her like mad. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Jennifer screamed, jumping to her feet. He had soaked her from head to toe. "MATT!!!!" she yelled, dripping. "Good, you're up!" he replied with a bright smile on his face, and quickly left the bedroom. "URGH! MATT!!!!!!!" she yelled once more. "RING! RING! RING!" The telephone rang again. "What?" Jennifer answered, with her arms hanging on her sides, soaked. "Hey, you're up!" Tiffany said surprised. "Guess Matt's pretty good at that!" "Shut up Tiff, it was your idea?" "WOOHOO! We're going to the beach then! Get ready, cuz I'm on my way!"
"You know Jen, I seriously have no idea why you're getting yourself into another mess." Tiffany warned her, as her and Jen proceeded to walk to the beach. "What mess?" "The Brian scenario! I mean, yeah, he was your ex, you guys were together and all. But from what I heard about yesterday, and how he left you, and rebounded back with that GIRL! How stupid is that, and I thought he said he wanted time apart, not to see other people!" "Yeah, I know Tiff, but it's Brian! I can't let what he had get ruined. 9 months ok? NINE months! Just gimmie time, and we'll be together again!!!" Jennifer assured herself. "You're clueless Jen! Besides, I never even really liked Brian. He was actually just a dumb jock to me." "Gee Tiff, thanks for telling me that now!" "No, I mean, there are tons of guys that are better than him. Like that Matt guy. And after what he did yesterday, that makes him even better! He's cute, smart, athletic, and plus, it sounds to me like he's the perfect guy for you!" Tiffany said smiling. "Tiff, get real! Matt is just a friend, and I told you that already! Besides, I've only met him a couple of days ago." "Ok, whatever you say Jen! Whatever you say!" Tiffany answered, still not convinced. After reaching the beach, Jennifer and Tiffany placed their towels in the sand. "Man Jen, so many hot guys on the beach today. Wooooh!" Tiffany said, as one guy ran past them. Jen just laughed at Tiffany and turned her head the other direction, hoping nobody would think she was checking out guys too. But as she turned around, she spotted Matt at the other end of the beach, working on his boat. He wore navy blue swim shorts with white stripes on the side, and a navy blue visor around his head. Jen could see his perfect 6-pack abs and medium built arms, just the way she liked it. "Jen?" Tiffany started. "JEN! Earth to Jen!" Tiffany yelled, waving her hand in front of her face. Still, Jen didn't click! "What are you looking….." Tiffany glanced at the direction that Jen had been looking at and realized that it was Matt. "…..at" she finished. "Ooooooh, I see!" "Huh?" Jen answered immediately, FINALLY clicking. "Oh, yeah, uh, yeah? What did you say?" "HA HA HA HA HA! Man Jen, you totally got the hotts for Matt boy over there!" "No, whatever! Yeah right!" Jen quickly answered, trying her best to look away from Matt's direction. "Yeah, sure Jen! And that explains your drooling right? I mean, your jaw practically hit the sand! You think he's hot and you know it!" Tiffany teased. "Shut up!" she replied, hitting Tiffany on the arm. "You have no idea what you're talking about!" "Yeah, ok Jen! Look, I'm gonna go get a soda or whatever, you want anything?" Tiffany asked, as she slowly stood up. "Nah, I'm fine!" she answered. As Tiffany left to get herself a soda, Jennifer decided to say "hi" to Matt for a little while. As she got closer and closer to Matt, she had to admit that he was really cute. "MATT!" she called. He looked around, searching for the person calling his name and spotted Jen walking towards him. Smiling at her, he put down his sander and walked over to Jen. "Hey Jen!" he greeted. Man, why does she have to look so hot? he thought to himself. "How are you?" he asked shyly. "I'm alright! Me n Tiff decided to come here for the day. Still workin' on Dreamer?" "Yeah!" he mumbled, afraid to look up at her. Awwww, he's so shy! Jennifer thought, smiling. "Hey Matt, you know what? Why don't you join us? Take a break from all of this and come chill with us!" she asked. "Uhh, I don't think that would be such a good idea!" he answered, scratching the back of his head. "Awww, why not? Come on!" "Look behind you." he mumbled. Jennifer quickly turned around wondering what he was so worried about, when she saw Brian heading towards them. Brian grabbed Jen's arm. "Jen, we need to talk!" "There's nothing to talk about Brian!" she replied worriedly. Brian looked at her, and she knew he wasn't joking. "Ummm, Matt? Can you give us a minute?" she asked. "Oh…yeah!" he quickly replied, as he headed toward Tiffany who had been sitting on her towel already. "What?" Jen asked, turning towards Brian. "What's up with you and what are you doing here with that….that…." "Matt??" she finished. "Yeah." "Because I want to! What's your problem anyway? I thought you were with MEGAN! What does it matter to you if I'm here with Matt or not?" she questioned him. "That's because, I dunno, I still have feelings for you Jen!" Brian replied, leaving Jen shocked. "Look Jen, that guy isn't right for you. I am, and you know that!" he told her, grabbing her shoulders. "Look, YOU'RE the one that broke up with me. And now, you wanna get back together?" she asked confused. "Yeah, well…no. Look, I just don't want you with that guy!" he ordered. "Brian, why are you even here? You're still with MEGAN aren't you?" "Well, yeah, but…" "But WHAT? You know what, I seriously don't have time for this. You gotta decide, me or Megan!" she demanded. "I don't know!" he answered. Jennifer looked at him, teary eyed and with disgust. "Well, I guess you've made your decision." she replied, starting to walk off. "Jen…wait!" he tried calling to her. "See ya around Brian!" she said, leaving Brian alone on the sand, more confused than he had ever been.
