Jennifer lay in bed, thinking about how sweet Matt was for helping her with the situation at McDonalds. After that, everything came clear to her. She knew exactly how she was gonna get Brian back. She thought of different plans she could possibly do to get Brian to realize that she was the right one for him, instead of that dumb ditz , Megan. But every time a new plan got to her head, Matt seemed to pop into her head, remembering how sweet he was. Jennifer heard something in the window, disturbing her. "What the?" She quickly got out of bed to see who, or what was making all the racket. She finally reached her window, and was surprised to see Matt standing below, throwing rocks. "Man, good thing it was you! I thought I was throwing rocks at your parents' window or somethin'!" "Matt!!! What the hell are you doing?!? It's 12 in the morning, are you crazy?" Jennifer whispered. "I know, I know!" he started, "But I can't sleep!" "Well, what do you want me to do about it? That's not my fault." she replied with annoyance. "Come on Jen, you know you aren't tired either." he told her, trying his best to keep his voice down. "Yeah, so!" "So let's go somewhere, I wanna show you something." he said. "Urgh! Matt, I swear, you're lucky I'm still thanking you for what you did! Because if you didn't, I would be slamming this window right now." "So that's a yes?" he asked, followed by a cute smile. "URGH! Fine! Pass me that ladder." Matt quickly grabbed the ladder from the front porch and placed it in front of Jennifer's window, waiting for her to climb down. "You know Matt, you're always up to the weirdest things. This better be good!" she said, climbing down the ladder. "Shhhh! Your parents'll wake up. HURRY!" "I am! Hold on!" she said, jumping off the ladder. "Ok, now what?" Matt quickly grabbed her hand and ran towards the beach, dragging Jennifer along. "MATT!" she yelled, trying to keep up with him. "What are you doing???" Matt wouldn't stop running, and Jennifer was still trying to keep up with Matt, when they neared the beach. Jennifer could hear the waves crashing already. Matt finally stopped, as Jennifer gasped for air. "What the hell Matt??" she slowly started standing up for more air. "Why are we………….." Jennifer literally froze, as Matt pointed across the beach. Jennifer's eyes widened. "Me n my brother have been working on it all year! It's almost done." he said, referring to a beautiful boat. It was painted navy blue, and the word "Dreamer" was carved so perfectly along the back. The oak railings looked so smooth, and the reflection of the moon accented the window. "OMG!", she said, with her eyes widened and her mouth practically touching the sand. "You like it?" he asked. "I had this idea last year, and my brother decided to help me with it. I'm always here, fixing it, painting it, and doing whatever I can to make this baby work!" "It's so beautiful." "Thanks!" They began to walk towards it. "Jennifer ran her hands through the sides of the boat, feeling the smooth paint. She then ran her fingers through the engraved letters written on the back. "Why DREAMER? she asked with curiosity. "I dunno actually. I guess it's because I've always believed that dreams can come true. And not only that, but because that word alone holds so much meaning. I dunno. I guess I just have so much hope, and when people see my boat, they'll realize that anything is possible." "Whoa Matt! That was pretty deep. Never knew you had it in you!" she said, smiling at Matt. His words were so sentimental, that listening to him made her feel like she was in some kind of trance. "Wanna come in?" he asked, stepping into the boat. He held out his hand, guiding Jennifer into the boat. "It still needs a lota work, but I'm getting there!" Jennifer opened the door to where the sailor stayed. "Man, I can't wait till this thing rides!" she said with excitement. "You gotta promise me that I'll be the first person to ride on DREAMER with you!" "Yeah. Sure, why not!" "AWESOME!" Jennifer stepped back outside, and looked up towards the sky. "Hey Look!" she pointed. "A shooting star! Make a wish, hurry!" Matt watched as she gently closed her eyes, and he did the same. "You do it? Did you make a wish?" she asked. "I'm not telling you!" he replied laughing a bit. Jennifer stared down at her clock. "Oh shoot! It's already 1! Sorry Matt, but I gotta go!" She said, jumping off the boat. Before Matt could say anything, Jennifer had already made her way to her house, fading into the distance. "Goodnight Jen." Matt softly said to himself, as he too made his way back home to get some rest.
