A couple nights later the guys had a show to put on. It was one of the first shows that they were doing for the Aaron Carter Tour. Me, Kelly, Sara, Larissa, and Courtney went to our seats in the front row, right before it was time for the guys to go on stage. We could see Claudia behind one of the curtains making monkey faces at us…it was interesting. =] They started it all off with their usual…’Let’s Get Funky Tonite.’ After that song was done, they introduced themselves. “We’re so glad that you guys came out here tonight! Are you having fun so far?” Frank announced. All of the fans went crazy. He smiled at Kelly. “We’d like to thank a few very special people for being here tonight,” Greg said as he smiled and winked at me. The crowd was still going nuts…we weren’t expecting that!
They did a couple more songs, and then the other 4 guys left the stage, with Greg still remaining on the stage. “Now…before Aaron’s Party gets’ started,” I laughed b/c what he said was probably one of the corniest things I’d heard so far. “I wanted to sing a song..not from us..but from another band. You’ll probably recognize it. Okay..here we go..” he nodded to the band and the music started up. When the chorus came, I couldn’t help but cry.
“All my life, I pray for someone like you. And I thank God that I, that I finally found you. And all my life, I pray for someone like you. And I hope that you, do love me too. Yes, I pray that you, do love me too..” he sang passionately into the microphone. When the song was over, the lights were cut, and the crowd went insane. I left my seat just as Aaron took the stage, I put my VIP pass back on and ran backstage. Claudia saw me practically racing down the hallway and opened the door to let me in the backstage room. When I went in, I saw Greg standing there with roses in his hand, and he was just smiling at me. I ran and gave him a hug, and he held me for what seemed like forever. I couldn’t help but cry. He took his finger and lifted my head up so he could look at me, teary eyes and all. “I meant everything I sang,” He leaned down and kissed me.
Claud quietly closed the door behind her and started to walk down the hallway. “Where’s Laur and Greg?” Jesse asked looking around. Claudia pointed behind her at the room. “Oooh,” he smiled. “Ooh no..let those two be alone. Greg hasn’t told her yet…” Claud trailed off. “WHAT?!?” Jesse had a stunned look on his face. “What’s wrong?” Chris asked as him and the other followed him. “Greg hasn’t told Laurie yet…” Jesse explained. “Oh man…” Matt sighed. “You guys told the other girls through, right?” Claudia gave them worried looks. “Yeah,” the other 4 said in unison. “Okay…” she sighed.
**************BACK IN THE ROOM***************
Greg and I were just dancing even though there was no music. “Laur?” Greg looked down at me. I looked up at him and smiled. “Yeah?” He led me over to the couch and sat me down. “I have to tell you something…” he trailed off. He must’ve seen the look on my face because then he smiled. “No no no..it’s not what you’re thinking…TRUST ME,” he moved closer and put his arm around me. “Okay, then what’s going on?” I backed away a little bit so that I could look him in the eyes. “Okay,” he started. “We’re going overseas to England with the tour. I went to your parents to ask if you could come with us, but because of your leg and since you’re still recovering from everything, they said no. I’m so sorry sweetie, I want you to come so bad.” I could feel the tears starting to build up, and I knew that my eyes were getting glossy. “How long are you gonna be gone?” I kept my eyes on him, and he was looking right back at me. “3 months,” he looked down. “3 months?!? When are you guys leaving?” He looked back up at me. “April.” I didn’t know what else I was supposed to say. I moved over next to him, and he just held me.
***********A Few Months Later***********
All 10 of us (including Claudia, parents, etc) were at the airport. Chris was saying goodbye to Cori, Jesse was hugging Sara, Frankie was with Kelly, and Matt was holding Larissa. Each of the guys had gotten us a bouquet of roses. Greg gave me a little bag in addition to the roses. “I’ll see you in a couple months, and I’ll call you as much as I can, I promise,” he gave me a kiss. “But-“ I started. “Laur,” he cut me off. “Do you trust me?” he looked me dead in the eye. “Of course…” He flashed a smile. “Then trust me…I’ll be fine, I love you, and I’ll speak to you soon, I promise” he knew that I was obviously still upset and gave me a hug and another kiss.
I stepped back and stood with the other 4 (girls) and we watched the guys load onto the plane. All of us started to cry; we couldn’t help it. We had all planned to meet back at Sara’s house later in the evening, so I went home to pack up a few things before I left. I had put the roses in a vase on my dresser, and the put the baby pink bag on my bed. I was in the middle of packing when I sat down and took 2 things out of the bag; a letter and a tape. I looked at the tape, and the only 2 tracks on it were “All My Life,” and “I Miss You” I opened up the letter, that Greg had written.

Right now we’re on our way to England, and I’m not sure where you are while you’re reading this. But keep one thing in mind; I’m already thinking about you. The 2 tracks on the tape are “All My Life” and “I Miss You.” Those are the 2 songs that I could think of that could best describe how I’m feeling right now, being away from you. Just keep in mind that I’m looking at the same stars that you’re looking at. (Then, a golden necklace with a little star charm fell out of the letter) Whenever you feel lonely, just grab the charm and I’ll know. I’ll call you as soon as I get to a phone, and whenever I can call you. I love you so much, and I’ll see you soon.

I couldn’t help but smile as I closed the letter and put the necklace on; it was so beautiful. I put the tape in, and the sound of Greg’s voice in “I Miss You” flooded the room. I looked at a picture of us and couldn’t wait until he called….
