"NOOO!" Jesse cried as he sat up with a start. He looked around him. It was about 2:30 am and he was in his room. He looked at the floor and saw Chris sleeping. It had all been a dream. At least he was pretty sure it was. He picked up his phone and dialed Lauren's phone number. Who would be calling at this hour thought Sarah. She reached for the phone. Sarah- Hello Oh god Jesse thought. Jesse- Hi Sarah. Sarah- Jesse? What are you doing calling at this time of night? Jesse- Is Lauren there? Sarah- Yeah. Let me get her. She got out of bed and went down the hall. With a little effort she managed to get her little sister awake. She told her it was Jesse and went back to bed.
Lauren- Hey. Jesse- Hi Lauren. What day is it? Lauren- Jesse, it's Saturday. Three days from Christmas. Don't you have a calander? Jesse- Yeah. Can you come over today? Lauren- Sorry Jesse, I can't cause I have to go to a party of my aunt's but maybe we can chill tomorrow. Jesse- Okay. Call me tonight when you get back. Lauren- Okay. Bye hun. They both hung up and Jesse was able to go back to sleep. Later that day Jesse told Chris about his dream and Chris told the other three guys. They came over to Jesse's house around 1:00. Greg- That was defindently one freaky dream. Jesse- Well me and Chris..... Matt- Chris and I. Jesse- No, not you and Chris, me and Chris came up with a plan. The two boys leaned in to tell their friends the plan. When Lauren got home that night she gave Jesse a call. He told her to meet him at the mall the next day at 11:00. The next day the guys help Jess finish the plan (they had all slept over ) and finish getting ready.
When Lauren met Jesse at the mall she ran and hugged him. Then she gave him a present. It was a chain with a cross on it that said Jesse and Lauren forever. When he saw it he almost cried but got a grip. He gave her a present then. It was a huge teddy bear with a DS shirt on. The two kissed and went inside. He bought her a ring that said J+L=LUV. When the two were down shopping they went to the movie theater and saw Serendipity. Afterwards it was about 10:30. They went back to her house. They were making out on the porch when Sarah's car pulled up and the couple got out laughing. Then something that felt magical to the two couples happened. It started to snow. Just a light snow, but it was snow. For the four teens standing on the porch the world seemed to stop turning for just a second and everything that was bothering them in their lives seemed to disappear. Then Jesse leaned in and whispered in Lauren's ear " I love you. " She started to cry and the two started kissing. The other two teens did the same. Sarah had planned on driving the two boys home but didn't want to because the streets were freezing over. The girls parents were coming back the next night so the four went in the house.
Jesse and Chris started out sleeping on the two couches in the living room. Then they snuck upstairs to the girls’ rooms. Sarah and Chris were up for awhile talking. They had no idea what went on in Lauren's room but they could hear the headboard banging against the wall. The two finally fell asleep at about three a.m. They woke up around 12:00 Christmas Eve to discover they were snowed in. Right after that Mrs. Trousdale and Mr. McCartney each called asking if the boys were there. The couple explained that the boys were snowed in but should be home that night. Then the two hung up the phone. Sarah- Speaking of Lauren and Jesse why don't we go wake them up? Chris- Okay.
The two climbed the stairs to Lauren's room. When they got there they were shocked with what they saw. Sarah screamed waking the couple up. The two teens sat up with a start. Their clothes were all over the place. Jesse had on nothing but his boxers and Lauren had on her bra and underwear. The four kids looked at each other and were silent.
