******CHAPTER 3******
“COOOOOOOOOOURTNEEEEEEY!!!!!" My Mom called up from the kitchen. "I'm coming...I'm coming!" I y"elled back. "Yes,?" I said walking into the kitchen. "Telephone." My mother said. I walked over to the counter. "Hello?" "Hey...Courtney?" A chirpy familiar voice said on the other line. "Chris?" I asked confused. "Chris?" My mother said looking over at my sister Chanelle who was eating breakfast at the table. "I dunno...don't look at me." She said raising her hands up in the air. "Yea." Chris said. "Wow! 8:30am...didn't think you would call so early." I said with a smile beaming over my face. "Wellllll, I couldn't wait to talk to you again." He said with a chuckle. "Hey did I say anything was wrong with you calling this early?....no." I joked. "Haha...so I was thinking...If you and Laurie could come into NY today maaaaaaybe we could..you know...hang out?" Chris asked. "Uh...yea sure...I think that would be OK...but we don't have a ride." I said with a giggle. "You don't have a ride for what?" My Mom asked. "Mom!" I said ,"I am on the phone with a boy" "Hold on Chris, OK." "Aight" he agreed as I muted the phone. "Laurie's friend Chris wants to know if me and Laurie can come into the ciiity today and haaang out, but we don't have an um...ride." I said stuttering. "Well, I have to go into the city today anyway..so if Laurie's parents say OK...I can take you both." She offered. "OKAY!" I squealed. "Chris?..You still there?" I asked. "Yea." He said. "Okay...yea sure I can make it...I'll call Laurie, OK?" "Aight..I will call you back in a half hour? How does that sound?" He asked happily. "Perfect byyye." I said glowing as I hung up the phone. "Geez...she's warped." Chanelle said with a disgusted look on her face. "Hello Mrs. Thomas?" I asked as I moved the phone closer to my ear. "Yes, hold on Courtney...I'll go and get her." She said happily. "THANK YOU!" I laughed. "Yo, Yo, Coco!" Laurie said on the other line playfully. "Oh glory..LAURIE!" I joked. We both laughed. "OK...now back to reality...I have some fun-tab-ulous news." I giggle. "Shoot...I can take it!" Laurie continued to laugh. "OK, OK...Chris just called!" I said excitingly. "Oh my gosh...oh my gosh!" Laurie squealed. "I know, I know...but that's not the best part, he wants me and YOU to come to the city today and "hang out" with him and Greg!...And my Mom can give us a ride!" I said before she could even cut in an Oh My or a Gosh! "Oh my gosh!...Lemme go ask my parents OK?" She asked as giggled nonstop. About 5 minutes later Laurie came back. "OH MY GAWD...THEY SAID YES!" She squealed once again. "Oh yay!, Well, Chris said he would call back in a few so I gotta go I will pick you up in about a......hour OK?" I asked with excitement. "OK!" She laughed.
"AHHHHHHHHHHH I have nothing to WEAR!!!" I yelled in the middle of my room. "Chill out Cori we will find something." Laurie said trying to cool me down. "WE'LL FIND SOMETHING?!?!?....WE'LL FIND SOMETHING?!?!...IS THAT ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY?!?!" I screamed. "OOOOOOK Court...let's go into the closet and FIND SOMETHING!" Laurie said shaking my head in her hands. "OK." I said letting out a big breath of air. After an hour of changing we finally deiced on the Dark Denim bell-bottoms and the red hanky top. "OKAY GIRLS WE ARE LEAVING!" My Mom called up. "Okay here we are!" Laurie said swaying her arms out like she was a movie star as we walked downstairs into the car. "Okay so....Chris...who is Chris exactly?" My Mom asked looking in the rearview mirror as we were going through the Holland Tunnel. "Chris is Courtney's friend!" Laurie said with enthusiasm. "Courtney's friend?" My mom asked confused. I nudged Laurie. "Ow what was that for?" Laurie asked rubbing her arm. "She means Chris is her friend Mom." I said looking at her rolling my eyes. "Yea I'm sorry Mrs. Jenson...my bad." Laurie said looking at me with one eye.
"Okay so I will be in the MTV studio on floor 7 talking with James and Ganet..you guys go and roam....BUT BE CAREFUL...Courtney do you have the cell?" My mother said. "Okay..Okay!" I said rushing for her to leave. "COURTNEY, LAURIE!" Greg said running over to us from across the street. "Hey!" I said as I wrapped my arms around Chris and gave him a long kiss. "Hey snuggle bunny." Greg said with a smile and giving Laurie a kiss on her chin. "Hi...wait snuggle bunny?" Laurie asked laughing. "Ummmm OK." "I'm so glad you could come..." Chris said smiling down at me. "Wait...Chris were you this tall last night?" I said looking up. "Yea...why?" Chris said with a confused look. "Wait...were you this short?" he asked laughing. "Cooooooourtney...news flash babe..your platforms are smaller." Laurie said giggling. "Oh!" I laughed. "So...do you wanna go a hang out at Virgin Mega Store?" Laurie asked smiling at Greg. "Umm...actually I have to meet up with Kelly at Planet Hollywood...so you guys can just come with me and they we can go and eat or something." Chris said. "Oh OK." Me and Laurie said in unison. We walked down the sidewalk finally approaching Planet Hollywood that wasn't far from MTV studios. Then we walked up through the main door of Planet Hollywood where we saw a girl about 5'3 with brown short hair that flung around her neck. She was wearing dark denim blue jeans with a black tank top and matching denim jacket. "Chris!" She yelled walking over to where we were standing. "Hey Kellllly..." he said pulling his arms up from around my waist as he gave her a quick hug. "Hey jerk!" She said grinning at Greg. "What's up brat!" he said giving her a smile. "Hi...I'm Kelly!" She said shaking mine and Laurie's hands. "I'm Courtney." "Hey I'm Laurie." We all greeted. "So...you guys wanna eat here?" she asked with a smile. "Yea...sure." Chris said turning to me and grabbing my hand. We all walked up the red-carpeted large steps into the dining area. "Do you wanna eat over there near the counter, in the dinning area...or upstairs?" Greg asked. "Let's go through there." Laurie said pointing at the dining area.
We all stood around as the waitress got us a table and we were seated. "So Courtney...are you from the city?" Kelly asked drinking her Orange Soda. "Naw..I'm from New Jersey." I said grinning at Laurie who was feeding some fruit to Greg. As Chris and Kelly turned and started laughing. "WHAT?!?!" Greg said. "She's feeding me fruit, oh well!" "I wanna see you out that door, baby bye,bye,bye....." The radio played. "Good gawd!" That's the only friggen CD Planet Hollywood owns huh?" Kelly said frustrated. "Yea I don't think they do!" I said laughing. "Hey you guys I have to go to the bathroooooom....I will be right back." Chris said getting up and kissing me on the cheek. "So...Courtney...how long have you and Chris known each other?" Kelly asked. "I actually just met him last night at Yips...It was my birthday." I said looking around the room. "Oh Happy Birthday!" she said smiling. "Thank you." Kelly folded her arms and leaned back on the chair. "Yea I have known Chris for about a year and a half." "Cool." I said not paying attention. Chris came back and we all finished eating. "So...are you guys leaving now..or are you going to hang out for a while?" Kelly asked. "Geez Kelly...when did you join the FBI?" Greg asked sarcastically. "Shut up asshole!" Kelly said smacking Greg across the back of his head. "Damn that hurt...if you weren't a girl I would hurt you!" He exclaimed. "Oh shut up you lil weed...go away." She said eyeing him. "Hey...that's not nice." Laurie said rubbing the back of Greg's head.
**Meanwhile back in New Jersey..........**
"OH MY GAWD...OH MY GAWD...NO F*CKIN' WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Chanelle screamed in the middle of her room. "Ummm...Nell Nell...when is Mom comin' home?" Tyler her little brother asked. "Oh...and can I have some cookies?" "Wait Ty! Mom is coming home soon...go talk to Dad." Chanelle said pointing for him to leave. "Sheri! I swear if you are lying..." Chanelle continued to scream. "No honestly...I got 6th row tickets to the Black & Blue show tonight." Sheri laughed over the phone. "Ummm...call me back in like a half hour...I gotta ask my Mom! Chanelle said trying to calm herself. "Ok...ok! Bye sweetie." They both hung up. "Ohh geez..." Chanelle dialed her mom's cell phone.
**Back in New York.........**
"Riiiiiing...riiiiing!!!!!" Courtney's purse rang. "Hey baby...your bag is ringing." Chris said. "Could you get it...I am really thirsty so I am gonna go get some water with Laurie." I said handing him the phone. "Ummm..k whatever." "Hello?" Chris asked as he picked up the phone. "Oops! Sorry I must have the wrong number!" Chanelle said confused. "Aight." Chris said hanging up the phone. "Riiiing...riiing!!!" "DAMN...Who the hell calls her so much?" Chris asked pressing the little button. "Hey Mom...Sheri got the Backstreet Boys tickets we were trying to get and the concert is tonight...can I please, Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease go?!" Chanelle squealed. "Ummmm...yea..." Chris said confused. "Wait! Mom!? Who is this?" Chanelle said shocked out of her little Backstreet Boy fan mind. "This is Chris.." "Chris who?" Chanelle said concerned. "Chris Trousdale" Chris said. "WHY THE HELL ARE YOU USING MY MOTHER'S PHONE...CHRIS TRRRRRROUUSDALE?!?!" Chanelle yelled into the phone. Chris moved the phone away from his ear to retrieve his hearing. "Ummm...look Courtney asked me to answer the phone...I'm sorry..do you want me to put her on?" Chris asked panicking. "Yes...Yes...that would be fine." Chanelle caught her breath. "Hey Court...maaaaaaaye you should take this one." Chris handed me the phone. "Hello?!" I asked. "Courtney...who the heck was that?!" Chanelle yelled. "Chanelle?...Why the hell are you calling me?" I asked putting my hand on my hip. "I simply called to ask MOM a question and some BOY Chris Trousderdale picks up the phone...what the hell are you doing...I swear if you are doing anything you know you shouldn't I am coming up there and kicking his ass!" Chanelle continued to scream. "Chill chill...it's just Chris we just got done eating at Planet Hollywood....Mom knows chill." I said. "I'm gonna go now...call Mom ..she has Dad's cell!" I said as I hung up the phone.
