******CHAPTER 2******
"TAXI!!!!!" Chris called as we walked out onto the sidewalk. "DAMN man did you HAVE to scream that DEAD in my ear!?" Greg yelled at Chris. "Whoops! Sorry." Chris laughed. "You know I just didn't want them too...like they shouldn't...her birthday and..." Chris stuttered. "Wait....WHY THE HELL AM I STILL APOLOGIZING?!...You'll live." we all laughed. “So anyway..” Greg said trying to start up a conversation. “Where do you ladies wanna go?” Chris asked politely. "Well I have to be home in like 10 minutes so..." Sara started. "You do?" Jesse asked. "Yup she has a wedding to go to tomorrow." Laurie cut in. "Oh...I'll take you home." Jesse offered. Me and Laurie looked at each other and grinned. "Ummm...Ok!" Sara smiled. "Do you wanna walk...or take a taxi or..." Jesse started. "Let's walk that way we can talk longer." Sara said. "Ok...you're right let's go." Jesse jumped at the chance. "Bye babe...Happy Birthday!" Sara said hugging us goodbye. "Bye and thank you." I told her. "Bye Laur." Sara grinned. "Bye Sarwa...have fun!" she said. "Oh you know I will." she said laughing away with Jesse. "Well...umm...OKAY!...Where do YOU wanna go?" Chris continued to ask. “Hmmm,” I said as I put my hand up to my chin like I was thinking. “Why don’t we…” I started. Laurie gasped. “Why don’t we go to Central Park?” Laurie said with enthusiasm. “I’m down with that,” Greg said. “Alright guys, here’s the taxi,” Chris pointed out. Then all four of us piled into the taxi.
“Central Park please,” Chris asked the driver. “No problem mon,” The driver said with a thick Jamaican accent. As soon as we got to the park, the guys lept out of the taxi. “WAIT HERE!” they exclaimed. “Okay..” Laurie and I said in unison. We waited therefor about 10 minutes before the guys came back. Then Laurie and I felt four hands slip over of our eyes. “WHAT THE HELL!?” I exclaimed. Chris bent down and whispered,” It’s okay Court. it’s just me,” “Oh thank God, you scared me,” I said quietly. Chris lifted his hands from my eyes and gave me a devilish grin.” What?” I asked suspiciously. “You’ll see..” he said still smiling at me. Laurie and I just looked at each other with confusion. “Come on Laurie,” Greg said grabbing her by the hands. “COURTNEY!” she said as she grabbed my hand to go along with her. “WAIT UP!” Chris said as he grabbed my hand and we all walked into Central Park holding hands. “Guys do you know how retarded we look?” Laurie asked trying not to laugh. “I don’t know..you tell me,” Greg said giving a devilish grin. Laurie looked at him and blushed. “Okay..Laurie and Courtney..we’re gonna let go now..and Laurie, you’re going to go with Greg and Courtney, you’re going to come with me,” Chris said sarcastically. Laurie and I let go of our hands and went with our “guy.” “Do you think we should trust them?” Greg said quietly. “NO!” Laurie replied. “Well, do you think they should trust us?” Greg said giving her an evil grin. “HELL NO!” Laurie laughed as two little old ladies looked at her.“Whoops,” Laurie said laughing. “HI!” Greg waved to the two old ladies. When they saw him wave, they just turned around and walked away. “Greg,” Laurie started, “I think I heard one of those ladies mumble something about wanting to hit you with her cane,” “BRING IT ON!” Greg screamed as he tried to act all macho.
“Did Greg just scream ‘bring it on?” Chris asked me in a confused voice. ”No I don't think so,” I replied. “Oh okay,” Chris started, then paused, “EEEEWW!” We both laughed. “Well I’ll tell you one thing,” I started, “I’m gonna ask Laurie totell me what happened,” I laughed. “Ditto,” Chris agreed. "So...where are you from?" Chris asked trying to start up a conversation. "I'm from New Jersey." I said. "Oooooh you're from Jerziiie..." Chris said with his Manhattan accent starting to kick in. "Yea...I'm from Jerzie." I redirected back. "Oh that's cool." He said trying to sound interested as he leaned in and kissed me lightly on the lips. "Yea but that was a whole like cooler..." I sighed. We both laughed. As we sat down on a bench.
"So Laurie....that's a nice name..." Greg said trying to get Laurie to make eye contact. "Thank you..." she said turning around. "I like Greg too....kinda reminds me of that kid from The Brady Bunch!" She said with enthusiasm. Greg just laughed. "Ummm....thank you?....I guess." Greg said confused with a chuckle. "But...anyway...ah..." Laurie jerked as Greg pulled her and gave her a kiss on the lips. "What?" he asked quietly. She blushed. "What?...What?" He gave her a sweet smile. "Think we should go find Chris and Courtney?" Greg asked. Laurie got a shocked glimpse. "If we must." He just smiled and grabbed her hand. "Your gettinga little into this 'why don't I grab Laurie' thing huh?" Laurie laughed. Greg redirected. "Ummmm....yea..." As they walked down the sidewalk.
"Ummm...we found them." Laurie announced. "Hmmm...huh?" I asked as me and Chris came out of a deep kiss. "We are worried about you guys....and your sucking face...well all righty then huh?" Greg joked. "Oh shut up smart ass." Chris yelled back at him jokingly. Riiiiing,Riiiing...."Umm....Chris.....ur ringing." I laughed. "Hello?" Chris said as he picked up the phone. "Oh hey Kelllly....uh huh...no...no....yea....Tuesday....hell no...na..na..Claudia said..sa...haha...Greg....Central Park....here..." Then Chris handed Greg the phone. "Hello?" "Well, hey baby!" Greg said. Laurie and I exchanged confused looks. "Well, Kelly....no Kel....uuuuuuh....yea...talk you you lata sweetie...uh huh bye babe." Greg said clicking the little button on the phone. "That was Kelly!" Greg announced. Laurie started. "Ummm....yea I think we kinda got that......" "WAIT!...Who's Kelly?" I asked. "I go to school with her...we're friends." Chris cut in as he saw us getting very confused and upset. "Oh!" We both said in unison. A couple minutes later we were standing around talking when Laurie looked over and nudged Greg. “Greg..” she whispered. “What?” he whispered back. “The two old ladies are back and their looking at us and pointing,” she said trying not to laugh. “Just ignore them and see what they do,” he said turning back around,and then they started talking to us. “Who’re they?” I asked curiously. Greg and Laurie just looked at each other and started to laugh a ‘lil. Chris and I just looked at them like they were nuts. “They had come by us before and Laur said that she heard one of the old ladies say something about wanting to hit me with her cane,” Greg laughed. “Umm..okay?” Chris said in a confused voice.
All of the sudden I saw one of the old ladies coming over to where the four of us were standing. “Laurie,” I nudged her, “One of the old ladies are coming!” I whispered. She looked around and was surprised when the little old lady pushed her to the side. “What the?” Laurie asked, confused. “OWW!” Greg exclaimed as he turned around to find that the old lady had hit him in the leg with her cane. He turned around to look at the lady who had a very serious look on her face. “What was that for?” Greg asked. Without answering his question, she walked over to Laurie and hit her in the leg with her cane also. “Excuse me!?!” Laurie exclaimed. The lady looked at her with an evil look. “What?” Laurie asked in a confused tone. “YOU SAID A POTTY WORD!” The old lady exclaimed.After she said that, she walked back over to where Greg was standing. “And you..you should know better than to say ‘Bring it on,’ to an old lady, especially when you have such a fine young lady with you,” the old lady lectured. Chris and I just stood there and tried not to laugh.
“But umm..if I’m such a nice young lady, than why did you just smack my leg with your cane?” Laurie asked, trying to keep a straight face. “Sorry..I got a little caught up in the moment,” the lady said as she walked away and went back to her friend.After a couple minutes, the two old ladies left. “Oh my God…” Laurie sighed. “I know…we just got abused by a grandma!” Greg exclaimed.
"SO!" Chris said. "What time is it?" "It's 11:20."Greg told him looking at his watch. "DAMN!" Laurie yelled. "We have to get home." "Ohh...so soon?" Greg said giving a puppy dog look. "Yea...here." I said slipping my phone number into Chris' hand. "I was just about to ask for that." He laughed. "AHEM!" Greg coughed looking at Laurie. "Oh yea!..here yougo..." Laurie said giving Greg her digits. "So umm....I will call you tomorrow." Chris said giving me a kissed on the cheek. I guess that's the plan." I said giving him a loooooong hug while Greg and Laurie called for a cab. "Happy birthday." Chris whispered in my ear. Me and Laurie got in the cab. "So what did you think?" Greg asked. "I think I'm in loooooooove." They both said in unison. "Court?" Laurie asked tapping me on my shoulder. "Yea!" I jerked back. Laurie just smiled.
