******CHAPTER 1******
"Good gawd! What have you planned now?" I asked. "You'll see I can't tell you everything!" Laurie said sarcastically. My friends Sara, Laurie and I all walked into "Yips" my favorite restaurant in Manhattan. "Oh yay! Yips,I love Yips!" I gushed. "Now do you think we are stupid? Don't answer that!...we know you love Yips!" Sara said sarcastically. So they walked in and the waiter directed them to a table. "Hey guys I gotta go to the bathroom save my seat." Laurie said. "Okie no problem just don't take forever Lauren!" Sara said in a sarcastic tone. "I won't!" Laurie redirected back. "You know she is." I added as Laurie walked away. "Of course I know." Sara laughed.
"So Courtney how old are you gonna be again?" Sara asked. I looked at her stupidly yet shockingly and replied. "You don't remember?" "Of course I remember 14 do you think I am stupid and if you answer that I am coming across this table!" Sara joked. "I'm not even gonna!" I laughed. "Hey did you miss me?" Laurie said as she returned from the bathroom. "Yes, we did!" Sara said. "Cori I have a surprise for you!" Laurie said. "You do what is it?" I asked. "You'll just have to wait but only for 5 seconds." I told her with a devilish grin. "Okie Okie!" I said.
Then two seconds later 5 guys came over in red and white strip suits and started singing "Happy Birthday" to me. We all started laughing really low. Then after they were finished we busted up. "Oh my gawd I cannot believe you did that!" I said trying to catch my breath. "Believe it!...wasn't it amusing? I saw something like that on 'Sesame Street and I was like Courtney!, Courtney! Sooooo COURTNEY!" Laurie said also trying to stop giggling. Then all of a sudden we heard some whispers coming from behind us. "Oh my gosh look behind you hot guys at 12 o'clock." Sara whispered. "What are you talking about it's only six o'clock." Laurie said. "Lauren...you always have contradict everything huh?" Sara asked laughing. "Yes I do...but you guys luv me right?" Laurie asked. "Yea Nikki...uh huh...we just adore you..." we all moaned not paying attention because we were boy gazing.
Then one of the guys with blondish reddish hair with blonde streaks walked over. "Hey!" he said. "Hiiii..." We all stuttered. "My name's Jesse...is it your birthday?" He asked looking over at Sara who just stared at him with her mouth hanging dead open. "No it's...hers!" Nikki squeaked pointing towards Courtney who was looking at Sara. "Oh cool...Happy Birthday...How old are you?" "SHE'S 14!" Laurie exclaimed. "Oh really, cool! I'm fourteen too!" Jesse told them. "Wow he's fourteen...what a man!" Sara silently said to herself. "Hey ummm...my friends over there wanna say hi." Jesse said. "Do you mind if we...." He started to say. "SURE!" I cut him off before he finished. "Yea ha..okay" He chuckled. He turned around and signaled for his friends to walk over.
Then four really hot guys approached from the table. "Hey what's up...I'm Chris." One of the guys said shaking my hand. He was cute of course with spiky brown hair and tannish skin. "Hiya...my name's Courtney...but just call me Cori everyone does." I giggled. "Cool..Cori..." he laughed. Then one of the others stood next to Chris and calmly said “Hey I’m Greg,” Laurie’s mouth dropped open. “Laurie!” I whispered. “Pick ur chin up off of the table!” She blushed when she realized that everyone saw her. “I’m Laurie,” she said looking at Greg. Greg had black hair and brown eyes with light skin. Veeeery nice. “So..when did you guys get here?” Chris asked, trying to make a conversation. I couldn’t help but just stare at his gorgeous eyes. “Courtney?” he asked. “What?” Yeah! I’m here..sorry..we got here about five minutes ago,” I said. Laurie, who was sitting next to me, just busted up laughing. “Smooth Cori,” she whispered in my ear. I gave her a sarcastic evil grin and then kicked her leg under the table. “OWW!” Laurie said as she picked up the table cloth to rub her leg.
“Anyways..” Jesse started, “We just wanted to come over and say Happy Birthday,” At that moment the whole table looked at me. “Thanks,’’ I said quietly as I blushed a little. Chris just chuckled to himself. “Happy Birthday Cori,” Chris said as he bent down and gave me a little kiss on the cheek. After that, Chris, Greg, and Jesse went back to their table and the three of us just sat there in shock. “Oh..my..God,” all of us said in unison. “Did what I think just happened..happen?” Larissa asked in shock. “Uhuh..”Laurie said gazing into her own little world.”Laurie” I said. She was still WAAAAY out there. “Laurie…reality check..u there?” I said laughing as I snapped my fingers, trying to get her attention. “Yeah..Oh my God Cori..G-G-Greg gave me a h-h-hug!!” she said as she started to come back to Earth.
“LIGHTBULB!!!” Laurie exclaimed. “Here we go again…” Sara said sarcastically. “Anyways..” Laurie said, trying to finish her idea. “Why don’t we ask the guys if they wanna hang out with us for a while…we don’t have to be back at your house ‘till 11:30 so…” All of us just smiled. Until we saw a frown begin to peer up from Sara. "What is it?" Laurie asked. "You mean you guys don't have to be home until 11:30...remember I have my aunts wedding tomorrow...I gotta be home after dinner." Sara sighed. "Oh yea....MAN!" Lauren exclaimed "I gotta a lightbulb too Laurie." I said. "WHAT?!" Laurie squealed. "Why don't we go over there...and as we leave...Jesse takes Sara home?" I said staring over at the table where the guys were sitting. Sara's eyes lit up. "YAY!" "Ok looks like a plan." I smiled. “So who’s gonna go over there and ask?” Sara asked curiously. “I WILL!” I said as I jumped out of my seat. I slowly walked over to the table where they were all seated. “Ahem..” I said, trying to get their attention. “Hey Cori!!” Chris exclaimed as he got up out of his seat and gave me a hug. “Hey Chris..” I said chuckling to myself. “Umm..my friends and I were wondering if you guys would want to hang out with us for a ‘lil while,” I said waiting for their reply. It was actually Laurie’s idea..” I said pointing over to her. “Okay!” Greg said jumping out of his seat. “Greg..chill..we hafta eat first remember..” Frankie laughed. “Yeah that’ll be cool..come over here when all of you are done okay?” Chris said smiling at me. “Sure,” I said, smiling back. I walked back to my table and sat down quietly. “Wow, Court ur eyes are like..glowing!” Sara commented. “Uhuh..” I said as I started to go where Laurie was before. About 20 minutes later, we were all done with dinner. I motioned for the waiter to come over, so we could pay and meet up with the guys. As I was about to sign the check for dinner, Chris lept over. “I’ll pay for it! You guys shouldn’t pay..it’s your birthday!” Chris said as he took out a wad of money, and paid for all 5 of our dinners. “Thanks!” we said in unison. “So are you guys ready to go or what?” he said, giving me a devilish smile.
We all walked with "our guy” out of Yips and into the busy streets of the Big Apple.
