| Alice Cooper was born as Vincent Damon Furnier in February 4, 1942. He went to Cortez High School (fall of 1962) in Arizona and studied Art . He excelled at running in school and was a member of the track team. He was so good that he reputably broke the 26 mile marathon record for Phoenix. The story goes that on completion of the race, he promptly fell over and broke his nose, an injury that explains his distinctive face. He was also wrote stories in newspaper of the school with the name Muscle McNeal. He formed his first group, the Earwigs, in the early '60s but they changed to the Spiders in 1965 and then they called the Nazz. After discovering there was another band called the Nazz in 1968, the group changed its name to Alice Cooper. The Alice Cooper Band were: Vincent Furnier (or Alice) in vocals, Michael Bruce and Glen Buxton in guitars, Dennis Dunaway in Bass and Neal Smith in drums. The wrote brilliant songs like Eighteen, School's Out, No more Mr. Nice Guy and Alice became an idol for the youth of America. Billion Dollar Babies was their last album. Since then Vince is on the top of Rock scene and... he remained Alice of course!. He has been married to Sheryl, a very beatiful woman, since March 1976 and has three children, Calico (1981), Dashiel (1984) (named after author Dashial Hammett), and Sonora Rose (1993). Alice and Sheryl met while Sheryl was a dancer on the 'Welcome To My Nightmare' tour. She has appeared on stage with Alice many times, most often as 'Ethyl' for "Only woman bleed". She was also one of the many dancers in the "Sgt. Pepper'" movie. | |
