Update on the New Aerosmith Album...

We thought you might appreciate an update regarding the new album. Asst. Tour Manager John Bionelli called our offices after getting back from Japan to let us know how the new album is going. Contrary to what's been reported, the album has not been named, and there is no producer confirmed for the project. What can be said is that the band has a bunch of songs under their belts ready to go, and are looking forward to writing a bunch more when their equipment returns on a slow boat from Japan after just completing the "Roar of the Dragon" tour. John promises to call in with updates, so stay tuned to AF1 for more details!

Aerosmith Set a Guinness Record!

Check out the full page picture of Steven Tyler in the Guinness World Records 2000 Millennium Edition, on page 125. Aerosmith is noted for holding the record of "Highest US Chart Entry by a Rock Act." The band entered the US Singles charts at No. 1 with their song, "I Don't Want To Miss a Thing" in September, 1998.

Steven Tyler to Star as "Chris Gaines"?

Or so Garth Brooks hoped, while producing a movie staring his alter ego "Chris Gaines" in a movie that is supposed to come out this summer. Garth, when interviewed recently on the Conan O'Brian Show, says he did not originally want to play the character, he only wanted to produce the film. Garth said he was looking for someone "thin with pretty hair" and his first choice was Steven Tyler! Garth went on later to say that Steven was not available due to other obligations.
Thanks Adam Manuel
