I can hear the humming of the diesel engine,
I know that you are on your way home,
Safe within the reach of my aching arms,
I have you once again for a while,

I want to do so much to show my love so true,
You give me and the family all that you can,
I am just a passenger in the fast lane of your life,
I enjoy the ride and by your side I shall stand,

But, a trucker always has two loves,
A truck and a family but one is told goodbye,
See you in a few, don't know if it days or months,
The goodbyes get harder each time,

I love you, not only for who you are,
But what you have made of me,
A trucker at heart always waiting to see,
Your big rig come down the homeward stretch,
Into my empty arms once again,

So, truck on my trucker for
