MUDVAYNE are back with a self-titled release that will hit stores on December 22, 2009 and leave fans blown away by its eclectic complexity and brutality.

We here at THORP RECORDS are very proud to announce the signing of New England metal/hardcore mainstays, HELL WITHIN. With several well-received releases under their belt on Lifeforce Records, and a strong history of touring and pleasing fans of both metal and hardcore alike, HELL WITHIN is now poised to drop their best effort yet via THORP RECORDS in May of 2010.
Thorp Records co-founder, Duane Miller, had this to say: "Hell Within plays a killer blend of metal, thrash and hardcore that is a natural extension of the more aggressive albums we've released over the last ten years. Plus, as Thorp Records is the home of HARD WORKING MUSIC, we have tremendous respect for the tireless work ethic J.J., Tony, Derek, Isaias and Derek have demonstrated, playing hundreds of shows every year."
The band is currently busy writing material for the release and plans on entering Damaged Studios in January 2010 under the direction of Pete Rutcho (Bury Your Dead, Seamless and Unearth). Upon release of their yet-to-be-titled Thorp debut, Hell Within plans to hit the road non-stop in support of the new record.

Dischord Vinyl Re-Issue Series: Year One
Beginning last November Dischord Records began the process of bringing the production of our entire catalog back to the USA from Europe. Doing so required that we re-cut and replace the metalwork for all of our LPs. Once we started we began to see this as an opportunity, not only to refresh our current titles, but to bring back titles that had been out of print (Marginal Man, Gray Matter) or had never been issued on vinyl (One Last Wish). One year into this project we are happy to report that 30 releases have been re-introduced, including the entire Fugazi catalog (except for "Instrument" which had a last minute delay), and that number will increase to 33 by the end of 2009. All of our new vinyl editions have been recut by Bob Weston and Jason Ward at Chicago Mastering Service and all 12"s feature free MP3 downloads.
This process has also required us to consolidate and archive all of our master tapes and art files and in doing so we have come across several old, forgotten or simply misplaced gems. Some have already been incorporated in our re-issues (Gray Matter's Take It Back will include 4 extra songs from the double seven inch they released in 1991, Minor Threat's Two Old Seven Inches 12" EP features a beautifully restored cover shot from the original photo) and others will see the light of day in the months and years ahead.
Jawbox, "For Your Own Special Sweetheart" CD/LP (+MP3)
On November 24th Desoto and Dischord will team up to release a new, completely re-mastered and re-packaged, edition of the Jawbox album, For Your Own Special Sweetheart -- a masterpiece long lost in the weeds of major label limbo. The new edition CD and LP was re-mastered by Bob Weston of Chicago Mastering Service and features all new artwork by Jason Farrell. The CD includes 3 extra tracks from the Savory + 3 EP and the LP features a free MP3 download of the album (including the extra tracks).
Gray Matter, "Take It Back" and "Food For Thought" Albums Both Re-issued On LP (+MP3)
Dischord is re-issuing the Gray Matter album, Take It Back on November 24th. Take It Back, the band's second release, was first issued as a six song EP in the direct aftermath of the "Revolution Summer" renaissance of the DC punk scene in 1985. Although the songs are available on CD, the vinyl fell out of print long ago. This new edition has been expanded into a full-length LP (on colored vinyl) with 4 extra tracks from the band's 1991 double seven inch and will feature an MP3 download.
Gray Matter's first album, Food For Thought, was re-issued (on colored vinyl) in October and is available now.
Fugazi, "Margin Walker" 12" EP (+MP3) and "Furniture" 7"
With the re-issue of the re-cut versions of Fugazi's Margin Walker EP and Furniture 7" we have ALMOST re-issued the entire Fugazi vinyl catalog. The only album remaining to be done is the Instrument Soundtrack which will be re-issued in December. This edition of Margin Walker features a redesigned cover (taken from the original art sources) and like all of our 12" re-issues it features a free MP3 download.

Medications and Faraquet
Medications have finished recording their new (as of yet un-named) album that we hope to have out in March 2010 along with the re-issue of the Faraquet album, The View From This Tower. Medications do plan to play shows upon the release of the new album so stay tuned for details.

Guy Picciotto w/ Vic Chesnutt
Guy Picciotto (Fugazi) is featured on the new Vic Chesnutt album, At The Cut, which was released on Constellation in September. Guy is also playing in the Vic Chesnutt Band on their current tour.

Hell Within is proud to announce that we have signed a multi album worldwide deal with Thorp Records. After completing the final tour for our last album "Shadows Of Vanity" on Thanksgiving of 2008, we began shopping to new record labels. We talked to many people and after looking at all the factors Hell Within decided that Thorp Records was the best new home for the band.
Hell Within has been busy in the rehearsal room writing the still untitled Thorp Record debut. The band will be entering the studio in January 2010 under the direction of Pete Rutcho of Damaged Studios (Bury Your Dead, Seamless and Unearth). The recording will go through the entire month of January 2010.
The band's new effort will be released world wide in May 2010. Upon the album's release Hell Within plans to hit the road non-stop in support of the new record.
We'd like to thank Andy and Duane of Thorp Records for believing in us and for releasing our upcoming records. We'd also like to thank all of our fans, friends and family that have stood behind us over the years. You never stopped believing, supporting and giving us the drive to move forward with our passion.

ODERUS, BEEFCAKE AND BALSAC SERVE AS CELEBRITY JUDGES FOR THE 14th ANNUAL BURTON SNOWBOARD DOG-COSTUME CONTEST
2009 truly has been the year of GWAR. They released their 25th anniversary album “Lust in Space” on Metal Blade Records; they are currently on their 25th anniversary tour with Lamb of God, and The Red Chord.
ODERUS URUNGUS has become the “Interplanetary Correspondent” for Fox News Red Eye, and now ODERUS URUNGUS is featured in the latest issue of SPIN Magazine.
The feature in the November 2009 issue of SPIN Magazine takes place at the Slave Pit in Antarctica and it is entitled “In My Room”. GWAR’s warty front-thing takes an exuberant amount of pride in showing off his room and all of his unique possessions, including his dead dog “Pookie” who has been with him since the beginning as his lover and his pet.
Speaking of pets and more specifically dogs, ODERUS URUNGUS, BEEFCAKE THE MIGHTY and BALSAC THE JAWS OF DEATH served as celebrity judges in the 14th Annual Burton Snowboard Pet Costume Contest yesterday in Burlington, VT.
Unphased by success, GWAR continues on their course as "the people's band". Band members ODERUS URUNGUS, BEEFCAKE THE MIGHTY, and BALSAC THE JAWS OF DEATH are seen here judging the 14th Annual Burton Dog-Costume Show. The event is held every year to benefit CHILL, a charity group dedicated to giving underprivileged children a chance to try snowboarding and other winter sports.

With their first ever Creep-In Day, dedicated fans and collectors receive a rare opportunity to be tattooed spontaneously without an appointment at the infamous Last Rites Tattoo Theatre… and on Halloween to boot!
Along with Paul Booth himself, the Last Rites family of masterful artists will take in the haunting energy of Halloween, Last Rites style, and produce stunning tattoo art on a first-come-first-serve basis! Paul will even be venturing out from his private lair and tattooing in the family crypt making the day an awesome “meet&greet” opportunity for Fans and Clients alike! In addition to this overdose of high energy freehand tattooing from 12 to 12, the day includes visual stimuli such as live painting sessions featuring Esao Andrews, Vincent Castiglia, Fred Harper, Dan Quintana, David Stoupakis, and Genevive Zacconi. ArtFusion Experiment collaborative painting performances by notable Tattoo Artists such as Paul Acker, Goethe, Juan Selgado, Jesse Smith, and more! Paul Booth and Crew will be following normal protocol used for conventions and touring. This means one-sitting freehand style work with an approx. 3 hour time limit on a piece. If you are looking to start a multiple sitting project such as a sleeve or backpiece, then this is not a day for such. Our best advice to you is to give our accomplished artists your theme and trust them with the artistic freedom to run with it for you. 3 hours can get a good sized piece done so don’t let the time issue concern you. We do this to be fair to everyone that desires Last Rites Art. We also suggest getting here earlier than opening time if you are really serious about getting work. The doors will open at 12 noon and anyone behaving overly aggressive, intoxicated or under the influence of drugs will not be tolerated. This event will be filmed for an upcoming Last Rites DVD so costumes are encouraged but not mandatory!

· Crazy Performers will be unearthing themselves throughout the day for everyone’s twisted amusement.

Rock supergroup Them Crooked Vultures, which is made up of Dave Grohl, Josh Homme and John Paul Jones, will release a self-titled debut on November 17 via DGC/Interscope. The 13-track release was self-produced by the trio and features material that was initially showcased at Them Crooked Vultures' debut performance at Chicago's Cabaret Metro on August 9. Lead single "New Fang," an expectedly rough and dirty rock number, is currently being streamed on the band's website.

MORTIIS TO PLAY DUTCH AND BELGIAN SHOWS IN DECEMBER
FRERIKSTAD, NORWAY. – Mortiis will be unleashing their collective demons on
Holland and Belgium during a four-show jaunt to continental Europe.
“We’re all looking forward to going back to Holland,” said band
namesake Mortiis. “We haven’t played there in a long time and we
always had a great time there. We’re also doing a couple of towns
there we haven’t played before, so that will be interesting as well.”
Following the three Dutch shows, the band will head to Belgium for the
Hermes Project Event, where they will play with Clan of Xymox.
Mortiis has been putting the finishing touches on “The Great
Deceiver,” the group’s long-awaited follow-up to 2005’s “The Grudge.”
Tracks from the record can be heard – and seen – via the videos for
“Doppelganger” and “Zeitgeist” on Mortiis’s YouTube channel. Mortiis
also promises to preview several new songs during the live shows.
“We’re gearing up to release ‘The Great Deceiver’ at long last, and it
felt like it would make sense to do a few shows before 2009 comes to
an end,” Mortiis said. “Shake the dust off and get back into the
‘live mode,’ so to speak. We obviously plan on coming back to
Holland/Belgium and as many other countries as possible during 2010.”

The Ultimate Access Pass is Live Nation’s golden ticket, good for admission to every single show in 2010 to an individual Live Nation venue. Every Live Nation club venue will have an Ultimate Access winner, with the names of winners posted on LiveNation.com Thursday morning at 12 Noon Eastern time. On Ultimate Access Wednesday every single ticket will be available at reduced cost as Live Nation drops the service fee on hundreds of thousands of tickets in its club venues across the country for one day only.

While the heavy music scene is flooded and littered with trendy, ‘current' fusion bands that string together electronics and mosh and pretend to be as brutal as f*&^, The Red Chord aren't having any of it.
The music on Fed Through the Teeth Machine is like a hulking hammer that rips and tears at the fabric of all that is trend-driven. But The Red Chord aren't making music for that purpose; they're just good enough to flip off trends and top the bands that perpetrate them. The Massachusetts band – which has downsized to a lean ‘n mean four-piece to counteract the bad economy function as a quartet without sacrificing any of their Rottweiler-like ferocity and tenacity - continues to focus on making extreme metal, for extreme people who want something lyrically and musically outside the box and forward thinking and don't want some assembly-line, manufactured, “of the moment” band in their lives. Put simply: If you want to have your bones reduced to dust and your brain taken out scrambled and put back in by music, then The Red Chord are up for that task with Fed Through the Teeth Machine.

As GWAR's 25th Anniversary “Lust in Space” tour enters its second colossal month, GWAR, in an act of unassailable magnificence proclaims a series of special “Meat and Beat” sessions to be held at a select number of venues on the remainder of the tour.
Certain specially selected (selected by them paying) GWAR fans will be presented with a commemorative tour program that shall be autographed in their worthless human presence by all five band members. Fans will then have an opportunity to “Meat” the band, and be “Beaten” by them.

These guys have several years of regular touring under their belts and have accumulated a wealth of crazy tour stories and photos. Below is the intro to one such story as told by guitarist Ben Savage.
“Oh let us take in the Las Vegas aura for a minute…an island of light in an ocean of desert, entertainment for miles on end, space needles, and black jack tables would of course be the optimistic outlook on this renowned city. On the other hand, you have your broken dreams, sinful seductions, greedy temptations, and so much sexual tension you can cut it with a knife. I guess Vegas is similar to the likes of L.A. but with more of the "glam" factor.
I know it ain't proper to not abide by the age old saying "Whatever happens in Vegas, stays" but then again, it's not like we rented out a room at the MGM Grand with a bounced check and had to pay off the mob to bury a dead hooker who O.D.'d off some crushed glass diluted cocaine that she snorted off your keyboard players erect member. No! I say, if the fun is harmless then tell all! We have been to Vegas 5 times (6 if you count tonight) in our touring career.
Playing everywhere from brutal DIY house shows and VFW halls to the House of Blues at the Mandalay Bay Casino, we have played from the "gutter" to the "glamour," if you will.”

Behemoth has just ended the Polish tour, promoting their newest album, Evangelion. They played 11 gigs in 11 of the biggest Polish cities. The tour turned out to be a great success on all fronts and most of the shows were sold out.
Front man Nergal comments:
“We came back home several days ago and I still can't get over after those 11 gigs…That tour had the biggest production and what is more important, the attendance was outstanding!
Nobody expected that the clubs in such cities like Krakow, Warsaw, Poznan, Wroclaw, Lublin, Katowice or Gdansk will run out of the tickets. We hired the best venues in this country, but it seems that we will look for even bigger ones in the future. There is also another alternative – playing more than one gig in one city.
We consider the “New Evangelion Tour” as one of the biggest and brightest concert events in the whole band history. We got such an amazing, fanatic feedback from the polish audience – like never before. As you could see, we prepared something special for you – some new songs, some older stuff, some songs that we've never played before, pyros and new stage design. You appreciated our efforts and we thank you for that.
Also, on behalf of the whole band I would like to thank everyone who worked for us during this tour: drivers, sound engineers, pyros crew, tech crew, and the tour co-organizers, Mystic Productions. We have never worked together on such a successful event earlier. No mistakes were made and all was on the schedule.
We also owe the outstanding atmosphere to the three great bands: Black River, Azarath and Hermh. It's good to share the stage not only with the excellent musicians, but also with good friends. Thank you!
At this moment, we are resting before the next tour – European tour this time. Tired but happy as hell! And pleased. Thank you to EVERY fan who came to the gigs and shared the energy with us. We would like to announce that the next polish tour is being planned to launch in fall, 2010! We are eager for the repeat!

Woe Of Tyrants wraps up tour with God Dethroned; interviewed on Ryan's Rock Show
Chillicothe, Ohio's high flying metal act, Woe Of Tyrants, have just wrapped up their US tour with God Dethroned, Abigail Williams and Augury. This is the final tour for the band before they regroup in Ohio to write and record their third full length album and follow up to their Metal Blade debut, Kingdom Of Might. Vocalist Chris Catanzaro adds: "God Dethroned's last date on the War Propaganda Tour was last night, hate to see them go! Amazingly kind and generous people, and many thanks goes to the band and their crew for making things run so smoothly for everyone. A few dates left with Abigail Williams/Augury and then we're holing ourselves up in our rehearsal space to finish writing our new record, expect it to hit this spring!"

2009 WASTE THE WORLD TOUR KICKS OFF NOVEMBER 6TH IN RALEIGH, NC
MUNICIPAL WASTE have announced that The Accused will not be taking part in the WASTE THE WORLD TOUR 2009 as their singer Brad Mowen has to have emergency surgery. Not to worry though the WASTE have announced a replacement for The Accused. Minneapolis' Off With Their Heads will join the tour on November 18th– December 2nd and will be providing direct support for MUNICIPAL WASTE.
Singer Tony Foresta had the following to say about the line-up change for the tour, “We're pretty bummed about the Accused canceling I really hope Brad gets better. But now The WASTE is really excited to announce our newest addition to our North American tour, Off With Their Heads. These guys are one of my personal favorites and I feel are one of the best punk bands to come out of the states for a long while.

It's the first time that we hired a professional camera team for a BELPHEGOR video, so the result is beyond amazing. We rented a cottage three days high in the mountains in middle of nowhere in the woods. There was nothing around. Just a lot of excess, alcohol, substances etc.

Italian news blog Musica Metal recently conducted an interview with guitarist/vocalist Mark Jansen of the Dutch female-fronted symphonic metal band EPICA.
Dutch female-fronted symphonic metallers EPICA will perform their entire new album, Design Your Universe, on November 6 at the first of two shows at Elysee Montmartre in Paris, France. The band also played all of the new CD at the sold-out record-release party on October 10 at Paradiso in Amsterdam, Holland. The first 200 fans who made it through the door at Paradiso received a USB stick containing many exclusive, rare and previously unreleased EPICA tracks.
"Unleashed," the new video from Dutch female-fronted symphonic metallers EPICA is available for viewing. The video was shot over an 18-hour period at a location near Berlin, Germany.
"Unleashed" comes off EPICA's new album, Design Your Universe, which was released in Europe on October 16, 2009 and will be released in North America on November 3, 2009. The follow-up to 2007's The Divine Conspiracy was recorded at Gate Studio in Wolfsburg, Germany with producer Sascha Paeth.

"It's been a great time at Gate Studio in Wolfsburg recording Design Your Universe. We worked with the same team and we worked for the first time together with our new guitar player Isaac Delahaye [formerly of GOD DETHRONED]. This made a difference and made things very refreshing because we could add some new elements because of him.
We have worked harder than ever on the details. We preferred to spend some extra money on great additions which brings our songs to a higher level instead of leaving things like they are. The result is that we worked so hard on this album that we hardly can listen to the album anymore. Now it's time to let it go and release it to humanity.
We were already very happy with The Divine Conspiracy, but I'm sure this new album tops that one."
He added, "The album title, Design Your Universe, deals with new breakthroughs in quantum physics. It proves that we are all connected to each other on subatomic level. Also, it shows that we can create or at least influence matter with our thoughts… a very interesting fact. Because it changes everything for us, our whole worldview collapses once you accept these facts and integrate them in your lives. So this had to become the new album title."
EPICA will return to North America for a headlining tour in the beginning of 2010, with DAATH and BLACKGUARD as support. EPICA will offer fans a special VIP ticket which will grant them access to the venue an hour before door times, a pre-show meet-and-greet with EPICA and a event poster customized for the city of the show. KORPIKLAANI TO TOUR NORTH AMERICA IN JANUARY 2010
Heavily inebriated Finnish folk metallers KORPIKLAANI have announced their return to North America!

IMMORTAL'S ALL SHALL FALL DEBUTS ON TWO BILLBOARD CHARTS
All Shall Fall, the first new album in seven years from reunited Norwegian black metal band IMMORTAL, has debuted at no. 7 on the Heatseekers Album chart (new & developing artists who have never appeared in the Top 100 of the Billboard Top 200 chart) and at no. 162 on the Billboard 200 for selling 3,300 copies since its October 6th release in North America.

Finally we are done tracking all of our instruments, except for vocals, samples and keys. Since we all are into ProTools, we are all contributing more or less with ideas.
Guillaume started tracking vocals today, he is a bit rusty since he didn’t scream for the last couple of months, but I quite like it. His screaming vocals sound, and I am not sure if it’s a good idea to say it, but I will say it, like Michaels at some passages.
That’s exactly the first thing that came out of Rune’s mouth when we heard the first tracked song. Kind of weird if I may add, but as long as it sounds good to us, it doesn’t really matter in the end.
The main point of this recording is basically “two brains are better than one” – it has been a more collaborative process, actually it’s been the most collaborative process we have ever undertaken. I guess that is how you learn over the years how to cooperate with your friends, you learn to respect other ideas and everyone takes the constructive criticism, if there is any – no hard feelings, we are all contributing for a greater cause, so to say.
I can’t wait for all of you to hear what’s coming out of this monster!

MNEMIC IN MIXING/MASTERING & REVEALING MORE SONG TITLES
Danish metallers MNEMIC have begun mixing their fourth studio album “Sons Of The System”, for a January 18th release via Nuclear Blast Records. Guitarist Mircea Eftemie states; “We’ve currently nailed five songs out of 15 and we are continuing to nail one song per day, so on later this week the album will be completed – good times.

What can I say, the material is really diverse, the most diverse we have ever made, and I know it sounds cliche to say that, but it really is. We have different inspiration sources nowadays, we are of course still a metal band, but we actually listen to a lot more than just metal. That aspect has contributed to the eclectic and diverse material of this new album.
One more thing that is totally cliche to say; its going to be the best album of 2010 and its going to be the best production Tue Madsen has ever made…. oh yeah!
THE RETURN OF DECAPITATED
Wacek “Vogg” Kieltyka, guitarist & founding member of the Polish death metal band DECAPITATED, has issued the following statement:
"It’s time to come back! After a two-year break, DECAPITATED is coming back with new members. The official new line-up for DECAPITATED will be announced at the end of December.
“As you all know, the decision to continue the band was really, really hard for me, but everything I do now is to keep DECAPITATED alive. [Vocalist] Covan’s situation has not improved much and he is still in bed and unable to function on his own. He still fights to recover as we speak and we are all still 100% behind him and hope for the best. It has been the hardest thing for me to move on without [brother & drummer] Vitek by my side, but he would have wanted me to continue with the band.
“Finally, I have found some great musicians who can continue the work of Vitek and Covan. At the beginning of April, DECAPITATED will start to play our first reunion shows. We will visit the biggest cities in Australia and play some of the biggest summer festivals in Europe. Don’t worry, we won’t forget about the U.K.! After this, the band will concentrate on the making of a new album! I would like to thank all the people who have supported us all this time."

ALEXI LAIHO (OF CoB) TO TOUR W/ HYPOCRISY IN NORTH AMERICA
Legendary Swedish death metal horde HYPOCRISY have enlisted the help of CHILDREN OF BODOM guitarist/frontman Alexi Laiho for their upcoming North American tour. Alexi has agreed to temporarily fill the currently vacant guitarist spot on their tour alongside ENSIFERUM, HYPOCRISY, EX DEO, BLACKGUARD, SWASHBUCKLE.
HYPOCRISY mainman Peter Tagtgren commented:
“We’re very happy to bring Alexi along on this tour and that he’s helping us out with filling the 2nd guitarist position. Funny, the first CHILDREN OF BODOM show was a support gig for HYPOCRISY. Since then me and Alexi have become very good friends. I’ve helped him with producing and he´s helped me by contributing a guitar solo on one of my records with my other band PAIN. There will be no shortage of alcohol on this tour that’s for sure.”

MetalSucks.net released the goods on the four-band "Tyrants Of Evil" tour bill that metal fans are calling a “dream come true.”
Launching the 16-show sonic assault on January 20th 2010 at the Recher Theater in Towson, Maryland and tearing their way through the U.S. and Canada are ARCH ENEMY, EXODUS, ARSIS, and Mutiny Within. Full carnal frenzy is expected at the last show on the tour, set for February 9th at the House of Blues in Hollywood.

SKELETONWITCH's new effort, "Breathing The Fire," sold 3,500 copies in its first week of release, landing at number #151 on the Billboard Top 200 and #2 on the magazine's Heatseekers Chart. The album was recorded in Seattle with acclaimed producer Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden, High on Fire). The band spent the last month on the road with Children of Bodom and are now supporting The Black Dahlia Murder alongside Toxic Holocaust and labelmates Trap Them. They will then head to Europe for a co-headline tour with Toxic Holocaust and Goatwhore.
Guitarist Scott Hedrick said, "We're completely fucking stoked! It's always nice to see hard work come to fruition. I never thought Skeletonwitch would end up on the Billboard charts! We knocked Uncle Kracker out of his spot from last week! Ha!

As GWAR’s 25th Anniversary “Lust in Space” tour enters it second colossal month, GWAR, in an act of unassailable magnificence proclaims a series of special “Meat and Beat” sessions to be held at a select number of venues on the remainder of the tour.
Certain specially selected (selected by them paying) GWAR fans will be presented with a commemorative tour program that shall be autographed in their worthless human presence by all five band members. Fans will then have an opportunity to “Meat” the band, and be “Beaten” by them.

On November 27, 2009, MANOWAR will release Hell on Earth V (double DVD), the first of the Hell On Earth series made exclusively in High Definition. We've listened to the fans and are giving them the magnum opus they demanded from us featuring live, full-length versions of songs never before seen or heard on previous MANOWAR DVDs.
With brand new cover art by world famous artist Ken Kelly, Hell on Earth V was five years in the making and shot from over 150 camera angles, using helicopters, camera cranes, mounted cameras and hand-held HD cameras.
Highlights include the Viking Encore set, recorded during MANOWAR's 2007 Demons, Dragons & Warriors European tour and featuring full-length versions of "The Sons of Odin", "Glory, Majesty, Unity", "Gods of War", "Army of the Dead Part 2", "Odin" and "Hymn of the Immortal Warrior".
Other songs featured in their entirety from 2007 include, "Die for Metal", "Gloves of Metal" and "Mountains".

Grace Perry, vocalist of Phoenix, Arizona's death metal/grind titans, LANDMINE MARATHON, is featured on the cover of the new Revolver Magazine, "Hottest Chicks In Metal" issue. She appears alongside of Halestorm's Lzzy Hale. Grace is also a frequent contributor to Revolver's online blog.
Grace commented, "I am extremely excited and flattered to be on the cover of Revolver. It's such a great opportunity for me to expose Landmine Marathon to a wide range of Metal fans. The whole experience has been a absolute blast, I mean when else am I going to be able to light a microphone on fire!?"
LANDMINE MARATHON just wrapped up their new full length, "Sovereign Descent," at guitarist Ryan Butler's Arcane Digital Recording Studios (Misery Index, Phobia). The album's being mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music (Converge, Hatebreed, Dillinger Escape Plan). with art by Dan Seagrave (Entombed, Dismember, Morbid Angel). The album is set for an early 2010 release via Prosthetic Records.
The band, whose sound has been compared to early Earache acts such as Bolt Thrower, Carcass, and Napalm Death, released two full lengths on Level Plane, "Wounded" and "Rusted Eyes Awake," the latter which was reissued this year by Prosthetic Records and several split releases. The band has shared the stage with the likes of Tragedy, Kylesa, Saviours, Book of Black Earth, Coliseum and many more.

SOMETHING TO BURN are premiering the clip for 'Say Goodbye,' a modern rocker about letting go and moving on. It's filled with plenty of dark imagery, appropriate for any metal clip: black hair, black leather, black and red walls.
"I really dig the way it teases you at first by just giving glimpses of body parts and gear, with occasional quick looks at the band, and slowly builds into a glorious climax that reveals all of us rockin' the fuck out," SOMETHING TO BURN’S Greg Wayne intones to Noisecreep of the band's new video for 'Say Goodbye.'
Saying the guys in SOMETHING TO BURN are big fans of Stone Temple Pilots would be an understatement. Soon, the bands will hit the road together, and SOMETHING TO BURN is also signed to Weiland's Softdrive Records.
When it came time to plot a video single, Weiland again came to the rescue.
"We've always loved the look and vibe inside Scott Weiland's recording studio, so when we decided to do a performance video for 'Say Goodbye,' we asked him if we could shoot it there. Although he's tracking vocals for the new STP record in there, he was cool enough to let us have the space for a couple days," Wayne explains.
'Say Goodbye' is featured on the album 'Transitions.'

We are shooting a video in Maspeth on Sunday November 8th and need extras.
All extras will appear as members of our 'bike gang'.
You need to be able to
get yourself there with your bicycle and be dressed for the part. What exactly
is dressed for the part? Well, its a tongue in cheek song, have fun with it,
but you look like a hell's angel, we certainly won't mind.
After the shoot, we will be doing an after party at either someone's house
or at a bar where we work out a drink deal. Either way, everyone gets
some free or cheap beer.

“We are into the first week of our American tour and things have been going pretty smoothly so far. After having relaxed for 6 days at a hotel in Tucson we were all energized and ready to start this tour.
We played our first show at the Rock in Tucson and met our tourmanager Erin Lynch, aka The Queen of Booze, the guys and girl of Abigail Williams, who we are sharing our tour bus with, and the guys of Woe of Tyrants.
The second day we played in Mesa and the third day in Vegas we went to the Strip, saw lots of casinos and the watershow at the Ballagio hotel. We played our show at the Cheyenne Saloon and met up with the guys of Augury.
The show at the Galaxy Theatre went really well for us and the audience was great!
The atmosphere at Thee Parkside in San Francisco was very rock 'n' roll and we played a very good show. We found out afterwards that we had played in front of people from Origin, Stratovarius, who were celebrating a day off, and there was also a member of Whitesnake and Death Angel. I would love to have seen the Golden Gate bridge but sadly we went another way out of the city, so maybe next time.
Our general impression about the US crowd so far is that they are very enthusiastic. We met lots of old and new fans and we are looking forward to playing the rest of the shows.

Rose Funeral links up with Vader for November/December shows!

TOUR KICKS OFF NOVEMBER 29TH IN SAN ANTONIO, TX
(New York, NY) -- After an amazing summer that saw the band ruling rock radio (and the top slot on Sirius Active Rock rankings) with "Far From Over," headlining the Monster Energy second stage at Crüe Fest 2 and leading tens of thousands of concertgoers in thundering chants of "Hell Yeah," the name of their first single from 2008's sophomore LP, Light It Up, New York hard rock quintet REV THEORY announce their upcoming tour with BREAKING BENJAMIN.
BREAKING BENJAMIN have been a radio mainstay for a number of years, and REV THEORY are following directly in their footsteps. The pairing of these two modern rock juggernauts, promises to be a win-win for both of the bands fans. Not only are the fans excited, but REV THEORY is stoked as well, says lead singer Rich Luzzi, “We couldn't be more excited to tour with these guys! They have loyal fans and we are stoked to be able to open for them.”
Now with a loyal army at their backs, Rich Luzzi, Julien Jorgensen, Dave Agoglia, Matt McCloskey, and Rikki Lixx have hit stride, moving a milestone 100,000 albums. In a time when fans cling tight to hard-earned dollars, REV THEORY sold most of its records to concert ticket holders.
Released last June, REV THEORY’s sophomore album Light It Up features production from Brian Howes (Hinder, Chris Daughtry) and Josh Abraham (Linkin Park, Velvet Revolver). It's the follow-up to 2005's Truth is Currency, which launched REV THEORY’s career on the road opening for Papa Roach, Saliva, Flyleaf and others. In fall 2008, the band played with Hinder and Crüe Fest veterans Trapt for the Jagermeister Tour.

New Jersey natives, ASHES OF YOUR ENEMY are pleased to announce that they will be playing a one-off gig with their friends the VOODOO TERROR TRIBE on Friday October 23rd at Dingbatz in Clifton, NJ. The show is a CD release and video premiere party for VOODOO TERROR TRIBE. The party kicks off at 10:00 PM, and ASHES OF YOUR ENEMY will hit the stage at 11:00 PM.
There is also a free buffet all night.
From the heart of NJ, emerges this 5 piece metal outfit. A band whose name alone underlines a fierce, uncompromising vision. After the demise of local acts Mudbox and Judge Drain, the remaining members were brought together by the means of a shared concept.
While digging deep into their metal roots, they began to structure and refine their sound. It was during this bitter cold season ASHES OF YOUR ENEMY were born.
The band entered Illegitimate Studios with producer Max Illidge (40 Below Summer, Black Market Hero) to record a 4 song ep. Once released, it wasn't long before their music began to generate a buzz among the metal scene and the music industry. They pound the tri-state area club scene with their style of metal, backed by a riveting, high-energy live performance.
ASHES OF YOUR ENEMY signed a deal with Crash Music Inc. They then headed back into the studio with Max Illidge. What came out was their debut album “The Undying”. 10 tracks of pure thrash influenced metal that gave their fans just what they were looking for.
After the release of “The Undying” in late 2007, ASHES OF YOUR ENEMY embarked on a nationwide tour with Hell Within.
In 2008, the bands parted ways with the label, and are once again free agents and officially unsigned. They recently headed for the studio to record their latest material, “Embodiment of Rage” and “Cancer Society”.

NEW ALBUM “BLACKHEART REVOLUTION” IN STORES NOVEMBER 3RD
The GENITORTURERS are preparing to kick off the “BLACKHEART REVOLUTION” tour on October 24th in Orlando, FL. They of course are touring in support of their new album “BLACKHEART REVOLUTION” which hits stores on November 3rd. The new album combines the band's signature genre-bending musical style of aggressive rock, mechanical metal and underground electric pop with all the twists and turns of a sonic roller coaster of seductive mayhem that the band has crafted over their now legendary career.
GEN had the following to say about the upcoming tour: “We can’t wait to rally the troops & broadcast the power of these new “BLACKHEART REVOLUTION” songs to the fans live!
The GENITORTURERS live & loud line up will include longtime GENITORTURERS drummer Angel (Dope) as well as the addition of guitarist Eric Griffin formerly of Wednesday 13/ Murderdolls as well as a bevy of titillating ;) performers.
Not only will you have the chance to see one of the most amazing shows of the year, fans attending the GENITORTURERS tour have something else to look forward to. The video for the track "Repulsive Salvation" is up now courtesy of Metal Sucks. It was filmed by David Brodsky (The Black Dahlia Murder, Suicide Silence, Gwar) at Lucky 13 Saloon in Brooklyn last month. Check out its premiere.
Hedrick added, "It's a bare bones Witch shred fest in a bar. It's basically what we do 8 months out if the year on the road. Amps and hair!! A lot beers went into the making of this video. Good thing I didn't have to play for real! Haha!!"

The band kicks off a tour tonight in San Diego supporting The Black Dahlia Murder along with Toxic Holocaust and Trap Them. They then head to Europe for a co-headline run with Goatwhore and Toxic Holocaust.

Progressive Metallers SHADOW GALLERY have now launched a first full new promo song off their 6th studio effort “Digital Ghosts”, which will be released on November 3rd, 2009 in North America via InsideOutMusic. SHADOW GALLERY’s Brendt Allman comments the song as follows: “Gold Dust is one of the 1st songs that I started writing for this new record. I just loved the D/ B flat/ E progression used in the chorus, then I just built the other parts around that. I knew that it could be a strong chorus and it turned out to be one of the best on the record. I particularly love the simplicity of the chord changes in the second half of the song, riding one note on the guitar in machine gun fashion while having pretty chord changes over the top of it. I love the fact that there are 4 lead vocalists on that section as well.”
Next to the regular CD and Digital Download version of “Digital Ghosts”, which introduces new lead singer Brian Ashland, there will also be a very special limited edition Digipak released in Europe with expanded and slightly modified artwork as well as 4 special bonus tracks *:

Hey there, friends and fellow followers of the Sun!
The production of the second album is in full swing.
As has happened before, the band has too many songs and no filler that could easily be discarded. And that's a good thing. So far things are shaping up to be heavy and slightly unusual. Which is also a good thing. There's also an album title floating around, but we can't tell you quite yet...
On Oct 13, Waldemar and Daniel will start tracking the drums. One year ago on this very date, Gus Chambers passed away.
Gus has played with Walde in Grip Inc. for ten years.
Needless to say, he is sadly missed, especially since he played a show with Enemy Of The Sun mere weeks before his death. So the band is playing in his memory...
R.I.P. Gus.
Back to work.
