January 25th- January 28th IOSF and Alchemy went on a weekend tour. This is a documentation of what happened to the best of my recollection. If the pictures are to small, Right click on them, and view image. -Travis |
they were great. Hopefully we will be hooking up some more shows with them
in the future. After Alchamino played Alchemy played, this was the first
time I had seen them in a while and they played great.
Tight
and short, just like we like em. After alchemy another band played, then
us. 
We played our best show of the whole tour. 
We
were
very technical and we played very tight. 
The
show was a lot of fun. The mic was giving me some shocks but not to bad,
it made my teeth hurt
That night we drove to Ann Arbor to stay at Jared's sisters house. She
had a sweet house, Jerry pointed out that the arches were very Romanesk.
We chilled out there that night and watched a movie, then the real fun
started. Apparently Paranoid Jake thought that he should bring a gun on
the tour (it should be noted that jake is the biggest guy on the trip)
but instead his thoughtful girl friend talked him out of this and convinced
him that he should take her moms Tazer. A tazer is a weapon that shocks
people with a burst of electricity that flows from one metal prod to the

Lets
take a closer look its magnificence
We broke out the Tazer that night, Korey was the crazy bastard who took
the first Taz, Then it was Jarred and Me. Very soon EVERYONE was tazing
each other. It was fantastic. We found that tazing can solve anything.
Here is an exert from our conversation "My elbow hurts will the tazer help
it" Instantly the crowd erupts with "of course." It was obvious that the
tazer can help anything. That night we all slept in different places with
a pact that no one would be awaken by a taz. We got moving at about 11.
We had to go to k-zoo to pick up kevin. We had a good trip nothing to report
about that. When we got there, kevin was looking at porn and also shared
some with us. Then we were on our way again to Marion Indiana and as soon
as we got passed Fort Wayne EVERYONE spoke with a southern Drawl. I couldn't
understand it. we were only 2 hours away!. We hit some bad ice on the way
to Marion but there wasn't any close calls until we got to the show where
we came inches from hitting this bastardly SUV that wasn't going to move.
When we got to the show it was sweet. This place was an old theater that
had 4 different screen rooms. The promoter knew Axle Rose, well he didn't
know him but he did like red neck rock. Anyway the guy who owned it turned
one of the theaters into this sweet ass wrestling arena that had a room
with so much rap music that it didn't need any speakers. The other theaters
were pretty much not used except the place that we played and that was
pretty run down
. We
took off to get something to eat and drink, we went to a small gas station
convenience store. The owner thought we were going to "tip it over." The
show looked like it was going to be great. There were tons of people there
and they all seemed to like rock and roll, The show started with some young
kids playing some good Punk Rock. People were dancing so I decided to go
dancing. I tazed a kid and he freaked out. It was the funniest thing I
have ever seen. Soon after that Alchemy played Jarred got crazy and
they played really well. I guess we can get away with saying that Marion
did not like our styles. When alchemy was playing there were a lot
of people watching 
but
the people who sat in the back seats were doing a bit of heckling. When
it came time for IOSF the heckling reached a all time high. We got burger
wrappers thrown at us and all kinds of shit. The show ended with mike and
myself challenging all of them to a fight out side, I thought it was going
to be fun but no one wanted to join us so instead we all started tazing
each other and we even recruited some guys from another band that was playing
that night called Pale Face Skeeter. They were very good, and they played
punk rock so they got much more respect. All and all the show was a great
success because a couple of kids actually did like us and came up to us
after the show. It was a great time. We just need to find a place in indiana
that doesn't only like Punk Rock. When it comes to the place we ended up
staying that's a bit of a different story. We were supposed to stay in
this hotel that we didn't know how to get to, so we ended up following
the promoter to a hotel, when we get there we have 11 people with us and
there is 6 already in the room. They wanted to party and we were in no
mood to party so Me Jarred and Korey decided that we were going to get
our own room, after some time in the other room everyone else decided to
pay the money and stay with us. So basically we played and didn't get any
money or a place to stay out of the deal. It was very interesting. But
Kenney is out of jail so all is good, he will be here soon with the beer.
When we got our own room we stayed up for a while. This was possibly the
funnest time I had on the tour. We did all kinds of crazy shit. Here are
some pics. 
After listening to some gospel chat music we were ready to go. I got a
call from Fitness Usa, Synthia was said I was a punk and I should watch
my mouth. We were on our way to Chicago, More specifically Glen Ellyn IL.
On our way we the other 2 cars made some bombs. Made from cups filled with
pee. They tried to hit the windshield of the other car. Of 3 throw's only
1 hit was successful. It was a direct hit to the windshield of Mikes Moms
Bravado. When we got to the show we were a little early. We found
out that we could get a circle of people together and taz the whole group.
It was fantastic. We got a couple of people to get involved in the tazing.
Its always great to share it with others. When we played I broke a guitar
string and the equipment was very wet but other than that it was our most
successful show of the whole tour. I hope that we can play there again.
Alchemy played great.
I really got to hear X rip off those phat solos. After the show was feeling
very euphoric, I took off for a while then we went and got pizza.
It was hella expensive. We drove home the next morning and it sucked to
come back to work and school. I hope we go back soon. Thanks Alchemy for
going with us.
