BIOGRAPHY

MORRIGAN has emerged as an aggressive force on the local music scene in DC.
From humble beginnings in a tiny shed in Springfield over a year ago, MORRIGAN
has pressed forward relentlessly and now boasts a versatile set list of both
covers and originals, and a showy, note-perfect stage presence with which to
entertain their stubbornly loyal (we love you guys) local following.

At the helm is DC native Morrigan herself, a professional singer-songwriter
and a magnetic presence onstage to see as well as hear. Mistress of her
domain, she can jump from a tender ballad to a slamming rock tune in the
blink of an eye, and she wraps her classically-trained voice around melodies
with sensitivity, vibrance and a refreshing assurance of pitch.

It's a rare guitarist that can crunch out a nasty blues groove hot
on the heels of chopping up the fast and heavy, but lead guitarist,
funk-turned-hard-rock axe-man, Bob Wilcher slices his way through MORRIGAN's
rollercoaster sets with uncanny precision and surprising melodic grace.
Miss Morrigan doesn't like to pick up her guitar much and with this
versatile musician shredding behind her, she doesn't have to.

Some local music veterans might recognize MORRIGAN's powerhouse drummer
Jeff Jenkins from the Hollywood Kidz back in the early 90's. Technically
precise almost to a fault, he now manages the difficult task of keeping the
MORRIGAN kids on track and makes it look easy, throwing out equal doses of
tight breaks and 80's metal flourishes with energy to spare.

Or perhaps you've seen bass guitar player, Carlton, funking up the DC area
stages with another critically acclaimed local band, VIBE. This flamboyant
bassist, resident King of Da Groove, negotiates his way through different
genres with flair and always finds his pocket; not to mention his penchant
for shameless scene-stealing. Carlton and Jeff form an aggressive rhythm
section and create the bedrock for this formidable bunch with all the
subtlety of a freight train.

The result is a show that's tight, energetic, and impossible not to dance to.
