February 17, 2003 - Leno Added to Promotional Scheduling - Everclear will perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on March 10th, a day before the new album, Slow Motion Daydream, hits store shelves. This the second late night show appearance so far scheduled for promotion of the new release. The band will also appear on Late Night with Conan O'Brien on March 28th.
This will be the band's fifth appearance on The Tonight Show. The show airs 11:35pm ET/10:35pm PST every weeknight on NBC. Everclear's previous appearances on the program are listed below.
January 6, 1998 - "Everything to Everyone"
January 21, 1999 - "Father or Mine"
July 10, 2000 - "Wonderful"
January 5, 2001 - "AM Radio"
February 11, 2003 - Everclear on Late Night With Conan - Everclear are scheduled to make an appearance on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, playing the first single from Slow Motion Daydream, "Volvo-Driving Soccer Mom". The show will air late Friday/early Saturday, March 28th/29th at 12:35am ET.
This will be the band's third apperance on the show. They have previously performed "Father of Mine" on November 20, 1998, and "Santa Monica" on December 4, 1995.
February 11, 2003 - MP3s, Tracklistings, Videos, & Cover Art - It's been a prolonged effort, but Slow Motion Daydream, Everclear's sixth album will be released a month from now on March 11th. Advanced copy promo discs of the album were mailed out to radio stations and critics weeks ago, and who would have doubted the twelve new songs would be leaked onto internet file-sharing programs? Fans no longer have to wait in frenzied suspense any longer. Reviews of the new disc are mixed within the Everclear community, some say they've gone too soft, some say it's their best record to date. Don't worry, the "professional" critics opinions are not far off.
The tracklisting for the album differs from the original that emerged in July (see "Tracklist for Slow Motion Daydream Leaked" in the news archive). This was one of the main reasons the album was delayed for so long. The band first entered the studio in January of 2002, with a projected release date of October 2002. Art, as he did with past records, wrote more songs as the release date neared and the album had to be pushed back twice. The final tracklist is as follows:

However don't fret, at least some of these songs won't be a complete lost or become a forgotten rarity. "Your New Disease" and "Happy" will reportedly appear on the Japanese version of the album as bonus tracks.
According to the Official Everclear Online Team, the music video for "Volvo-Driving Soccer Mom" has been added to the playlists of VH1, and should be seeing play soon. The video has already made it's debut on Canada's Much Music.
The cover art for Slow Motion Daydream has also been unveiled. It features a black and white spiral backround with a photo of the Portland, OR skyline. For a picture click here.
