Catherine BOYD's husband was Thomas KINRADE (Ballathona, Andreas) b. 1799, the illegitimate son of John KINRADE, a tailor of Kirk Bride (possibly s/o Matthias Kinrade & Jane McKissack) and Joney CORLETT of Andreas (possibly d/o William CORLETT & Catherine CRINOLT).
The Andreas Parish Records state "Joney Corlett deposed that John Kinread of Kirk Bride now off the Island was the father of her illegitimate child." Interestingly though, there is a marriage recorded between a John Kinrade & Joney Corlett. When Thomas Kinrade married Catherine Boyd he was "under age" and did so with the permission of his mother Joney Corlett.
Thomas married twice, firstly to Catherine BOYD, and later to Jane CALEY (Kirk Lonan). There was one child from the second marriage; William Philip KINRADE 1856-1918.
Mary Ann MARSDEN / MARSTON (1825), was the only child of Joseph MARSDEN / MARSTON and Mary CORTEEN. Mary appears in subsequent census records, but Joseph (thought to be an ag.lab. from Thallooqueen, Maughold) appears to have left the Island.

Henry Kinrade
William Henry (Henry) Kinraid 1856-1919 & his wife Sarah Weller Jackson. They married in 1895 in Alexandra, N.Z. where Henry was a gold miner, coal miner and later an orchardist. Prior to settling in Alexandra, Henry had mined coal on the West Coast and Shag Point, N.Z. He was talented musically and was bandmaster at Matakanui, Central Otago.
It has been suggested, and now confirmed through comparison of signatures, that Henry is the William Henry Kinrade (sic) who lived for a time in Cleator Moor, Cumbria, and fathered John Henry Callow 1885-1962. John Henry Callow migrated to N.Z. about 1900, was a coal miner on the West Coast and Shag Point before settling in Nightcaps, Southland, N.Z., where he played the bass drum for the brass band.
Was he trying to find his father ?
