Rock N Roll Experience - SLAYER DVD REVIEW

Slayer is, for all intensive purposes, probably the only band from the 80's who played thrash & NEVER changed at all...they are still as angry & harsh as they were back in the day & this new DVD highlights that very well! The DVD is a complete concert of them playing the "Reign In Blood" Record from top to bottom & the highlight og the DVD is the Blood soaked performance of the last & title song! The band is covered in realistic looking blood that just keeps raining, literally, non-stop, until they finish the final song. Guitarist Jeff Henneman stays dry for the most part, but Kerry, Tom & Dave are soaked! The coolest part has got to be the "Behind the Music" style interview with the band & I always love seeing the Slayer fans be themselves while being interviewed before, during & after the show! S-L-A-Y-E-R!! is screamed too many times to mention & I think it really shows a side to the band that few people get to really see. Also to not, there is 6 bonus tracks on the dvd that are from various Slayer CD's & "War Ensemble" is the highlight of the bonus songs for me! During one of the interview segments, Kerry makes a statement that he does not want to be on stage & not giving 100% & that he hopes he knows when it's time to stop & then in another scene Kerry shows his latest tattoo which covers the length of his arm & says "God Hates Us All"! This is definitley the BEST concert footage Slayer has ever done & Dean Karr did an amazing job putting it all together in one bloody mess of a DVD that combines band interviews, fan interviews, on & off stage banter, & 100% pure SLAYER!
