Dir en grey : There is no specific or particular meaning to the band name. It sort of just came to us.
Rock N Roll Experience: Who came up with the name Dir en grey?
Dir en grey : We came up with the name together. Simply because we thought it has a nice ring to it.

Toshiya : We felt very honored.
Rock N Roll Experience: What bands would you like to tour with?
Rock N Roll Experience: Have you played any shows yet in the USA?
Dir en grey : No, we have never.
Rock N Roll Experience: What is the concept behind the new CD cover?
Dir en grey : The concept of the album is wither so we used that word as the base of our ideas and came up with the cover design.
Rock N Roll Experience: Would you ever play an un-plugged acoustic show?
Dir en grey : Nope.
Rock N Roll Experience: Are you learning English for your USA tour.....Which is more important...the show or the music?
Dir en grey : There is no one over the other when it comes to being in a band. We think that there is no such thing as an unimportant aspect in this case.
Rock N Roll Experience: Do you play any cover songs?
Dir en grey : None at all.
Rock N Roll Experience: Who are your influences?
Dir en grey : It varies between all of us as we have many influences. We dont have a specific someone as all of us are influenced by different musicians.
Rock N Roll Experience: What do you think of Marilyn Manson?
Dir en grey : We dont have anything to say about him.
Rock N Roll Experience: Which Do you enjoy playing better..... clubs or arenas?
Dir en grey : Both venues are great. At smaller venues we can really feel the heat of the show and at larger venues, it is always possible to play a show that would enthrall and captivate the audience.
Rock N Roll Experience: Do you have any pre-show rituals that you do before a concert?
Dir en grey : Nothing in particular.
Rock N Roll Experience: Have you heard any good jokes lately?
Dir en grey :
Rock N Roll Experience: Do you prefer Saki or beer?
Dir en grey : Yeah we love both, shochu which is a traditional Japanese distilled spirit made from potato or rice is really good too.
