10/19/00 - As you may have noticed the CC site is under some heavy construction. We hope that you will venture to explore all of the new, updated pages. Hopefully there will be some new band pictures and additional links. The new site will be completed in the near future, so come back often. Please feel free to email us with your feedback.
6/29/00 - The band has been working hard on it's latest efforts. The studio dates are approaching and these next four songs promise to be a broader approach to our influences. To name a few elements of these new songs, we're planning on classical, acoustic, and even some sampled sections. Clutch was dropped from the plans for a new Thrashmaster opus which is looking very promising.
5/4/00 - Good news!!!! The band will be in full effect now that Steve is coming home for the summer. And the rumors are true... the band has booked 3 days at Outer Limit Studios this summer. So far the following songs are expected to be recorded: The Light Of Darkness, Condemned, Clutch, and Bring Me Back Again. There will probably be a fifth song, but it is not decided upon at this time. Another proposal was to re-record some of the songs on Against The Fire. This would probably only happen if there was extra time and tape.
4/23/00 - Conkatenate has been officially retitled Clutch and lyrically revised. This was over a few prominent reasons. The original title was spelled phonetically so as to help aid in pronunciation. The word "concatenate" means to put or to bring together. However, this word seemed a bit challenging to many people. The lyrical revision was done to broaden the message of the song. Look for Clutch to be played live in the near future!!!!
4/22/00 - Last night Steve witnessed one of the awesomest performances. FILTER came to Clarkson University and rocked the place and not without blowing the doors off the unexpecting attendants. "What exactly does that mean," you say? Well, they played nine straight metal/hard rock songs before they cranked out Take A Picture. Can you imagine the look on 2000-plus faces when they got slapped in the face with a full-on metal assault? Call it poetic justice if you will!! FILTER is no candy coated pop sensation as the so many were expecting. Sugar Ray was there a year ago people... WAKE THE FUCK UP!!! The songs played were Welcome To The Fold (featuring its intro Sand), Dose, It's Gonna Kill Me, The Best Things, Cancer, Under, Jurassitol, Can You Trip Like I Do?, an extended version of Hey Man Nice Shot, and they closed the show with Take A Picture. Richard Patrick mocked pop music remarking on how he's had enough of Britney Spears and even slammed MTV VJ Carson Daly, explaining how he told Carson he's going to keep turning his guitar up. Both remarks were another grand slap in the face of the unexpecting crowd comprised of teeny boppers and pop loving Carson Daly wannabies!!!! Granted, this pissed a lot of people off and Steve loved every loud, in your face, second of it!!!! Keep checking the "CC Concert Info" for updates on the 3 or 4 proposed shows!!!! Conkatenate may be receiving a new title soon. When it is decided upon, you'll know about it here. Peace!!
4/15/00 - Today marks the beginning of something new. Yup, you guessed it... A NEWS PAGE!!! I'm sure most of you are saying, "It's about fucking time!!", and as you can see, we agree with you. Now for some real news, the band has been in a bit of a break in the action for a solid month (yikes!!!), but have no fear for things will be officially steam rolling ahead in 3 more weeks. Why such an extended break you ask? Well here's the story of life for you: Steve has been held up at college for the last 4 weeks with absolutely no Easter break for next weekend, Mike has been busy working and putting up with school, Bill has been working and going to college (both full time), and Dan has been doing various college projects as well as working part time. However, through all this time off, Steve, Mike, and Dan have a total of about 6, 3, and 3 songs respectively plus one song that all three of them jammed on a month ago. This totals to 13 new songs!!! Of these 13 songs, the following are ready for performance or really close to being there: The Light Of Darkness, Condemned, Nadir, and Conkatenate. Look to hear these new ones live!!!
