**NOTE: "Larry O" stands for Larry Osnes, president of Hamline. In brief, Hamline usedto uphold its anti-discrimination policy by prohibiting military recruiters on campus. (The military discriminates against homosexuals, in case you didn't know. "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" is discriminatory. If you've heard otherwise, you've been lied to.) But then came the Solomon Amendment through the legislature, which denied schools government money if they didn't let recruiters on campus. So, of course, that money was more important than Hamline's anti-discrimination policy. Students made a huge stink, and since then, the Solomon Amendment has been repealed.
