Forever Knight is the story of a vampyre called Nick Knight who was brought across (made a vampyre) in the 13th century. He now lives in modern-day Toronto and works for the police department as a homicide detective on the night shift - permanently! His quest is to seek a cure to regain his mortality and rid himself of his guilt. Helping him in his quest is the department's pathologist Natalie Lambert, the only human who knows Nick's secret. He is constantly plagued by his vampyre master, the one who made him a vampyre, Lucien LaCroix, who wants Nick to accept and revel in his vampyre nature.. the series is a story of his fight to be mortal again.. I adore this series and see a lot of aspects of myself in both the character of Nick and LaCroix. More LaCroix than Nick these days though as I have come to terms with my vampyre nature..
