Welcome to the Ngati Kapu home page. I'm sure you've heard of Ngati Kapu. If you haven't then please click a heading above and discover who we are.

Here is the flag of Ngati Kapu. It is a reverse "tricolor" due to the fact of the French Marist priest Father Jean Baptise Comte, SM, arriving amongst Ngati Kapu at Pukekaraka in Otaki mid 1844 and Ngati Kapu embracing Catholicism. The wording is "Tainui" and the drawing on the flag is of a waka. The star "Tu-kai-te-uru" is a personal gift from Tawhiao to Ngati Kapu.

Here is a 1993 picture of the marae with the flag flying on the flagpole that is named "Te Pou-o-Tainui". On entering our site you will find more pictures and stories etc inside.

This Ngati Kapu site is still under construction. Please be patient and don't forget to check in or signup through our Guestbook.
