Southwest Virginia Rugby Football Club

The Crawdaddies

The Southwest Virginia Rugby Football Club is a newly formed rugby club located in the deep southwestern Virginia town of Richlands.  The club was originally founded in October 0f 2001 by former players of the now defunct Southwest Virginia Community College side.*  The "Crawdaddies," as the club is known, will be competing in the Virginia Rugby Union's Men's Division III group beginning in the Spring of 2002.

As southwestern Virginia is a veritable rugby vacuum, the Crawdaddies are always in need of players, regardless of skill level or experience.  The club is always interested in introducing the great sport of rugby to new people.  It is the belief of the Crawdaddies that once you come out and play, you will never be able to get rugby out of your blood.  If interested, please feel free to contact the club or come on out to practice at the times listed on this site.
