Life Cast
In Ft. Worth, TX, Ruthie Chaddock continued a long standing Ringling clown tradition with us new clowns. She made a life cast of our faces. She covered our faces with some sort of plaster and made an exact replica of our face. She will then paint our clown make-ups on the casts and display them all over the country.
It was a little scary having only my nose to breathe through, and it was hard to keep a good facial expression while the cast hardened. The livlier your expression, the more animated the life cast will be.
At the end of it all, it was creepy being able to look myself in the face!
