You Like??? I am crazy as hell huh??? LOL Well I hope you enjoyed. I currently Attend UNT (as you might know) Unfortunately Im not a music major. My major is Human Resource Managment (the people who do the hiring and firing :-)
I dont read music. I play piano, drums, Hammond Organ,Keyboards, and some Guitar all by ear. My first instrument was drums (1994 I was on the drumline all through middle school and freshman year of high school)
I began to pick up keys at the end of 1998 after I bought a cheap keyboard and practiced. I started off loving urban R&B,Gospel and Rap, but as I got older and more exposed I have really developed a big heart for Soul, Neo-Soul,Funk and "JAZZ". I can be a goofy person at times and it shows in my music.
Jazz really lets me let go of that conservative and let me " act da fool". Its my lil Jon and the eastside boys of the piano! If you goto UNT I'm pretty sure you've heard me jazz up songs like Mario Bros, Jeapordy, Mr. Rogers, "The Way We Ball"(Lil Flip)etc. When it comes to music and life I have an open mind. Although I love Jazz and Soul, I've been exposed to many styles of Music. I grew up around Tejano, and I hated it. But as I began to develop into a musician, I started to appreciate latin music and other world music such as Indian music,Afro-Cuban music, etc.
In the past I didn't sing as much but now I love it. I felt that if Im going to write songs and put music to them, I will use my vocals too. I felt If I had the talent to sing, I would sing and play my material, not anyone else. I'm the type of person that likes to do many things. I yearn to learn as many instruments as I can, so I can write songs in many different ways. For example, I dont want to use the piano on every song. It gets boring. I like to change things up and use a guitar or xylophone or some shit. Im also trying to get better on all of my instruments and possibly learn a new one in the near future. Eventually I want to be able to record an Album with all of my instruments and vocals. With all my influences, I think my album will be diverse and effective.

We are Denton's upcoming Neo-Soul band and work hard to bring you the best in our unique mix of jazz, R&B, funk, tejano, alternative, and old school soul. Our music wishes to enlighten, encourage, relax, entertain, and bring you to a place of aural, emotional, and spiritual pleasure. (Thank you EMSY for the Quote!!!)We WERE primarily a cover band, bout now we are writing and performing more originals. Our plans our to record an EP Album in the near future so look out! I started an R&B/Soul, band by the name of SOULBOL,back in September of 2003. We are Denton's upcoming Neo-Soul band and work hard to bring you the best in our unique mix of jazz, R&B, funk, tejano, alternative, and old school soul. Our music wishes to enlighten, encourage, relax, entertain, and bring you to a place of aural, emotional, and spiritual pleasure. You Like??? I am crazy as hell huh??? LOL Well I hope you enjoyed. I currently Attend UNT (as you might know) Unfortunately Im not a music major. My major is Human Resource Managment (the people who do the hiring and firing :-)
I dont read music. I play piano, drums, Hammond Organ,Keyboards, and some Guitar all by ear. My first instrument was drums (1994 I was on the drumline all through middle school and freshman year of high school)
I began to pick up keys at the end of 1998 after I bought a cheap keyboard and practiced. I started off loving urban R&B,Gospel and Rap, but as I got older and more exposed I have really developed a big heart for Soul, Neo-Soul,Funk and "JAZZ". I can be a goofy person at times and it shows in my music.
Jazz really lets me let go of that conservative and let me " act da fool". Its my lil Jon and the eastside boys of the piano! If you goto UNT I'm pretty sure you've heard me jazz up songs like Mario Bros, Jeapordy, Mr. Rogers, "The Way We Ball"(Lil Flip)etc. When it comes to music and life I have an open mind. Although I love Jazz and Soul, I've been exposed to many styles of Music. I grew up around Tejano, and I hated it. But as I began to develop into a musician, I started to appreciate latin music and other world music such as Indian music,Afro-Cuban music, etc.
In the past I didn't sing as much but now I love it. I felt that if Im going to write songs and put music to them, I will use my vocals too. I felt If I had the talent to sing, I would sing and play my material, not anyone else. I'm the type of person that likes to do many things. I yearn to learn as many instruments as I can, so I can write songs in many different ways. For example, I dont want to use the piano on every song. It gets boring. I like to change things up and use a guitar or xylophone or some shit. Im also trying to get better on all of my instruments and possibly learn a new one in the near future. Eventually I want to be able to record an Album with all of my instruments and vocals. With all my influences, I think my album will be diverse and effective.
