The Jane Addams Memorial Tollway runs in a northwest direction from the Chicago Metro. It runs from near O'Hare International Airpot to near South Beloit. This is the direct link between the Greater-Rockford Area and the Chicago Metro Area. All of the Addams Tollway is shielded Interstate 90. The north-south section at Rockford is shielded with Interstate 39, and U.S. Rt. 51. This is the only tollway in the Illinois toll highway system to have a U.S. Highway along it. The Northwest Tollway is operated and maintained by the Illinois State Toll Highway Athourity.
