The boys in
white and blue today extended their unbeaten run to 8 games. Three
points would have been a more favourable (not to mention fair) result,
but the one point keeps us out of the relegation zone. Rob Clare was
the unlikely goal scorer for County, this being only his second goal
for the club.

Stockport County 3 Chesterfield 0

A travelling
army of 2000+ were rewarded with a 3-0 win over fellow relegation
contenders Chesterfield. The game was as good as over 10 minutes into
the second half as Danny Jackman slotted home his first goal of the
season. County's chances of survival are improving week by week as we
continue on a fantastic run of results.

Stockport County 2 Rushden and
Diamonds 1

An exhilirating first
half of football saw Rushden down to 10 men, but the score stay 0-0. A
County win seemed to be on the cards, but the second half was tense and
tetchy to say the least. Stockport took the lead, only for Rushden to
equalise straight after, setting up a grandstand finish to the game.
Just as the game seemed to be heading to a draw County were awarded a
penalty, which Lambert gladly converted.
