Danny Jackman
He has the look of a boy who needs
mothering before the match, however, during he is like a man possessed!!

| Where did we find
him? A bit of a bargain bucket buy this one. He was languishing on
Aston Villa's reserves bench, until Sammy gave him the chance to
impress with a loan period. Impress he did, and he was snapped up for
the fair price of 75k. |
| Where does he play?
Well, anywhere down the left wing really! He started at left back, but
was then moved to the midfield wing with the arrival of 'ard man Danny
Adams. He is good defensively more than attacking, so I think we should
coin the phrase 'defensive left winger.' Yes; that will do nicely. |
| Strengths? He
reads the game excellently, so it is very rare that he loses his man or
gets completely turned. Also, if he does get turned he is always quick
to get back and clear the danger. His dribbling is quite good, as is
his crossing, but as can be expected, his shooting isn't really
anything special. As with all good defenders, his key strength is
tackling. They are well timed, with the right amount of aggression and
never wild. |
| Weakness'? At 5"4
his heading is understandably not the best, so there is always the
chance that he will simply be out jumped on cross's. However he doesn't
let this get the better than him, and he remains an excellent defender.
I know above I said his tackling is always well timed and he reads the
game well....but on the occasion he does get turned he has a bad habit
of bringing his arms up and tugging on opposition players shirts. |

| He keeps making an
impact in all the games he plays, offering us that bit of defensive
stability we could never get off Welsh and also the occasional spurts
of attacking. Definitely a future prospect of SCFC. |
