Kissena Park is located
in Flushing, Queens, New York City, New York State. Kissena Lake is a very old
lake, probably 1000’s of years old. Back to the Ice age.
Follow me through this
site, I’ve got plenty of images past and present of Kissena Park.
Kissena Lake’s nickname
used to be “ The Bath tub” lake because of the cement sides added in 1943.
There is plenty of things
to do. You can roller blade around the lake, drive your remote speed boat, or
just do some fishing.
These kids are involved in
a fishing contest held in June 2001.
Kissena Lake has a catch
and release rule. This means when you catch something you throw it back. It is
highly enforced by tickets.
