Formed And Filled |

The Master Potter is still in the business of forming and filling us. Knowing that really helps. Especially when you're on the wheel, everything in your life seems to be spinning out of control and you're convinced that the devil's attacking you. Not so; look under the table and see whose foot is on the wheel! If the devil had been in control, he'd have thrown you off years ago. But he can't, for God is monitoring your every move.
The Potter is not intimated by the clay, no matter how flawed it is; all He has to do is touch it and it'll become what He wants it to be. Listen: '...to them gave He power to become the sons of God... (Jn 1:12). The battle is over what you're becoming, regardless of what you've been. By God's grace, you have the potential to become 'a vessel of honour (2 Tim 2:21). Note: The Potter never presses down on the clay, He always pulls it up - lifting it higher each time. How wonderful! The Bible says, 'He raises the poor from the dust and... seats them with princes (1 Sam 2:8 NIV).
Today God's still in the business of forming and filling. He formed the sea and filled it with fish. He formed the air and filled it with birds. He formed Adam and filled him with His Spirit (or else he'd just have been a ceramic).
And, if you allow Him, today He'll form you, fill you and use you for His glory! |
