Carl Benjamin Eielson

Hamilton All Metal Aircraft Co. with Waco engine
Eielson and Borland departed Teller, Alaska
(just north of Nome) November 9th 1929 for Siberia. This was their second trip
to rescue personnel and cargo from the Nanuk, which was icebound in
Russia.
The wreckage of their Hamilton was found January
25th 1930. Their bodies were found later and returned to Fairbanks.
