In this trade Seattle aquired 3B Robin Ventura and MR Steve Karsay in exchange for 3B Troy Glaus and MR Buddy Groom. Seattle feels that the addition of Steve Karsay is a strong one for the bullpen in the long run. They are also excited about Robin Ventura who has great on base percentage and good pop like Glaus.
Montreal/Seattle: August 25, 2003
In this trade Seattle aquired the 17th overall pick in exchange for 3B Robin Ventura and minor leauge LR Rafael Soriano. The Mariners hope to get a good player with the 17th pick.
Anaheim/Seattle: August 25, 2003
Seattle aquires the 8th Pick overall, CL Troy Percival and SP Jeff Weaver for 17th Overall Pick, SP Mike Mussina and CL Keith Foulke. A loss for Seattle, but possibly a huge gain in the player draft.
Chicago/Seattle: September 2, 2003
Seattle aquires OF Barry Bonds in exchange for OF Shawn Green and SP Jarrod Washburn. A loss in young talent for Seattle. But Bonds will still play strong for another 3 or 4 years. So a great short term investment.

Seattle aquires CL Keith Foulke and minor leauge 2B/UT Chone Figgins in exchange for MR Felix Rodriguez and minor leauge 1B Tony Clark. Seattle looks to bulk up their already intimidating bullpen, Foulke is happy to be back in Seattle and Figgins hopes to make his way through the ranks while playing for the Tacoma Rainers.
