Step 1: Each person must take a role . There is the researcher, the interviewer, and the pollster. Each of these roles is extremely vital to the project and must completed thoroughly.
Step 2:As a group you must decide on a law pertaining to student rights. (Links can be found on the resources page).
Step 3: The Researcher must research that law and find out details about the first amendment, what the mitigating circumstances might be, and how a school would obey this law and the rights of the students. Once you compile the information, you are to create one slide of the Power Point presentation. The Interviewer must interview an administrator about this particular law. Find out if the school ever had to deal with this particular situation and how they handled it. You may video or audio tape the interview and even use parts of it in your slide of the presentation (just make sure to get the administrators permission first). The Pollster must create a one page survey asking questions about freedom of speech and how students feel about it. You must survey at least 50 people. The results will then be graphed on a chart and become the third slide of the presentation.
