- The Buick Roadmaster was one of the greatest Land Yachts of all time (of course it was a yacht, it had portholes!), and was revived for a few more voyages in the 90's. Sadly, it was mothballed again in '96 along with all other GM rear-drive full-sizers.

- The Ford Elite, one of the ultimate specimens of 70's design. Take an ordinary Torino, add a vinyl roof, add DOUBLE opera windows, add more vinyl trim on any surface you find, oh and did I mention the double opera windows? A true Land Yacht masterpiece.
- Anne's Neighbor's '52 Mercury! (Huh? Well, Anne used to work with yours truly, and one day she said "there's this kind of cool old car in the parking lot where I live and it says Merc-o-Matic on the back, what is it?" I said, sounds like a Mercury, how about get me a picture for the Marina, and here it is!)

- Dodge LaFemme -- Chrysler's attempt to custom-build a boat for the lady skipper. Superb Fifties kitsch!
- The Chrysler Cordoba was billed as "the first small Chrysler," but "small" is a relative term, and the Cordoba easily counts as a Land Yacht compared to today's cars. Besides, the Cordoba gave us those wonderful ads with Ricardo Montalban murmuring about "fine Corrrrrrrrinnnnnthian leather"!
