281.	The Venerable Sariputta said: "When one who teaches wishes to teach another, let him establish well five things and then teach.  What five?
	Let him think: 'I will speak at the right time, not at the wrong time.  I will speak about what is, not about what is not.  I will speak with gentleness, not with harshness.  I will speak about the goal, not about what is not the goal.  I will speak with a mind filled with love, not with a mind filled with ill-will.'  When one who teaches wishes to teach another, let him establish well these five things."

Il Venerabile Sariputra disse:
" Quando colui che spiega aspira ad istruire un altro, sia egli addestrato bene in Cinque cose e poi egli insegni. Quali 5 cose?

Che egli pensi: “Io parlerò al momento giusto, non al momento sbagliato.
Io parlerò a proposito di quello che è, non di quello che non è.
Io parlerò con Gentilezza, non con asprezza.
Io parlerò circa l’obbiettivo, non di quello che non è l’obbiettivo.
Io parlerò con una mente piena di amore, non con una mente piena di infermi desideri.

Quando colui che insegna aspira ad istruire un altro, sia egli addestrato bene in queste Cinque cose”.
