Hello fellow "Knotties"!
Thanks for stopping by. I am preparing for a wedding on
Sunday, October 19, 2003 in Pittsburgh, PA. I could not be
more blessed as my plans have gone well and everything is
reasonably priced. Now I just wish that I could be excited
about the wedding; I am ESTATIC about the marriage. I get
to spend the rest of my life with the sweetest man ever. I
truly feel blessed.
My wedding party consists of 25 including FI and I: 9
BMs(including 2 MOH), 9 GM(including 2 BM), 2 JBM, 2FG and
1 RB.
OUR STORY:
Pete and I met in August of 1993 and were introduced by his
sister. We spent the day talking and getting to know each
other. We went our separate ways at the end of the day and
found each other again at a church function in April 1994.
I was interested in him and wanted to know if he was
interested in me. I got the guts to speak to him and it
was well worth it. We have been together nine years as of
April 20th. It*s about time we got married, huh?
This is me and my baby! He is such a gentle soul and I
can*t imagine not having him in my life. An intellectual
being but yet soft and cuddly like a big ol Pooh Bear.
Look at that smile...it melts my heart.
THE RINGS PLEASE...
My e-ring is 14K with a 3/4 carat oval diamond. The w-ring
is a 1/2 carat chevron anniversary band in 14K to match.
Both are from Helzberg
Jewelers.
This is the closest that I could find to his band. It is
platinum with a braided stripe of yellow gold through the
middle. His is also from Helzberg Jewelers.
THE GUYS* DUDS
FI and his BMs are wearing this tux, the Allegro and this
shirt from Tuxedo
Junction.
The 2 BM are wearing this vest in red with a red tie and
the GM are wearing it in black with a red tie.
This is the garb for the FOB and FOG called the Delaware.
They will wear black bow ties and black vests.

AND FOR THE LADIES...
I am wearing a Wedding World exclusive 2-piece similar to
these. I do not have a pic but here*s pictures of my
almost dress twins...
These are my shoes,sitting up in my closet waiting to be worn. I am 5*5" and my FI is only 5*7", so I won*t be taller than him. ;o)
A friend convinced me that wearing my hair up will look more elegant. This is the one I like best and it will look good with my headpiece.
My first gift and the scent that I will be wearing on my big day, Paul Sebastian Design for Women.
This is the closest that I could find to my headpiece. It is a Betty
Wales and I bought in Long Island, NY for about $50. *singing* I loooo-ve New York! ;o)
I am wearing a White 72" wide, elbow length veil. The top layer will be used as a blusher. My mom found it in Sharon, PA for $25 and she will sew it onto a comb for me to wear.
Mom bought this garter for me at Michael*s.
It was about $4 and I didn*t care what it looked like...the
price was right!! Thank you mrsterrytobe!
Kinda sorta my earrings. They are very, very close.
Fun panties and hats and things for me!
My sister, MOH, is wearing a top and skirt similar to this
from Davids
Bridal in this same color, apple red. The other BMs
will wear the second dress.
The JBMs and flower girls attire. (The FGs are wearing the dress on the right. It was all I could find!)
MOB*s outfit! She is so worried about matching...I told
her," So what! This outfit is tight!" She tried it on and
was convinced too.
GIFTS
The BMs are getting a pair of earrings and a bracelet to
wear the day of the wedding, a crystal clock and a Wedding
Day Yankee Candle.
The guys are getting Black toiletry cases from JCPenney.
We found them after Father*s Day for $6 a piece!!
For my cutie pie 3 yr old RB...a Jr. Lionel Train Set from Lillian Vernon.
We are giving this to FIs parents. We found it for a
reasonable price at Things
Remembered.
CHURCH
This is East
Liberty Presbyterian, the church where I am getting
married. It is such a beautiful church. I am not
Presbyterian, but they agreed to let me use the church for
a fee. My attendants and I will get to walk down the aisle
to an organ. My oldest brother is going to walk me half way
down the 150 foot aisle (because he acts like he is my
Daddy!) and pass me off to my father who is going to escort
me up to the altar. I am so excited!
My aunt is making the altar arrangements. These are the
kinds that I had in mind.
RECEPTION
Aerial shot of the International Brotherhood of Electrical
Workers Local #5, location for the reception. The place is
awesome. Go union!
Appropriate
Moods will be our DJ for the evening. I am excited
because we get to pick our own music! No Macarena or
Chicken Dance for me!!

This is the cake. FI picked because I couldn*t decide. It
will be red velvet with cream cheese icing(my Gramma*s
recipe).
This is what the Groom''s cake looks like. It will just be a stack of books because FI is an intellectual. Creative Cakes is making it for me.
Still keeping my mind open to reception decorations. We
are definitely going to have bales of hay, gourds,
cornstalks and indian corn.

I found these at Michael''s and you get 50 in a pack for $1.99. I am going to fill these with candy corn and attach the name cards for the kiddies.

This is our transportation to and from the church from Lenzner Coach
Lines. I wanted something different...the price was
reasonable and it fits my whole wedding party!!
ACCESSORIES FOR THE BIG DAY!!
They are soft white with a maple leaf border. They came in
last week and look great! No mistakes!! We ordered them
from Rexcraft
This is the style program that I want. My Godmother is
going to create and print them. Thanks snobunny!
My wedding ensemble from Wilton called
"Timeless". We got all of it together at Michael*s as a
set at half price.
I found my unity candle, also made by Wilton. It is
iridescent and has plain pillar candles to match.
My sister/MOH and I made these candles wrapped in tulle for
favors. We created the labels ourselves and they have a
different fall picture on each one.
This is my cake knife and server, also by Wilton.
These are our toasting flutes except the heart is a small
bow. They are made by Mikasa and we got them free!
FLOWERS
I am carrying a bible down the aisle with a mix of these
flowers and long ribbons cascading down the front. Thank
you june21bride2003!
Finally! The bride that inspired my wanting to carry a
bible down the aisle! The wedding of Gwen Stefani of No

Fan Club.
This is similar to how the BM bouquets will look. It will
be mums, daises, sunflowers and freesia. The MOHs will
have one yellow rose each to match mine.
OUR WEDDING NIGHT...
We are spending two nights at the Westin Convention Center
here in Pittsburgh. The first thing I plan to do when we
get in there is jump up and down on the bed in my dress!

"Mini-Moon"
We can''t go on a honeymoon until June so we are taking a "mini-moon" to Niagara Falls. We will be staying at the Sheraton FallsView, directly connected to Casino Niagara.
