Learn To Be Lonely
You are a Ring-bearer, Frodo. To bear a Ring of Power is to be alone.~Galadriel in the film, “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring”
A while back there was a site (now defunct, I think) that offered a LotR vidding challenge, the subject of which was loneliness. And that line from Fellowship immediately popped into my head. It’s strange that I, the canon-girl, love the Mirror of Galadriel scene in the film so much that I actually thought that line was in the book, but it’s not. Still a great line, though, and the only one that encompasses what this vid is about. I didn’t have a chance to make it for the challenge, but I made it all the same. It’s from the POV of Galadriel, as she teaches Frodo what it means to be the Ring-bearer. Very angsty, but I like it.
