Mr. Derrico,

You simply have no idea how difficult this is for me, however, I have to "officially" declare that your legal assistance is no longer needed.

I am financially unable to continue to rely on your good services. I realize I owe you money, for previous services rendered, and I also realize how long it has been since I have even broached the subject with you. You will be paid.

I must explain that when I asked for your assistance, it was with the promise of my Grandmother, Mrs. Samuel Perry, that she would take care of all fees with regard to my eventual divorce. She was, and remains, aware that I could neither afford, nor expected to have the assistance of an attorney. She assured me that she would pay the fees with moneys from a small endowment which she had laid aside for me years ago. This did not happen. For reasons I cannot understand, she simply informed me that the fees were my responsibility, after the fact... only adding to the financial straits my wife's unexpected leaving had placed me in.

It is nearly impossible, with my wife having, without my knowledge, put me thousands of dollars in debt... by not paying household bills, the mortgage, the insurances, both health and auto... and etc. I am sure you get the picture. My wife put me thousands of dollars behind in all my bills, and now your fee was on my shoulders as well.

This is not an excuse, nor a reason to not pay you... however, it is the truth. I WILL indeed pay you... someway, somehow. To the last penny, as it was well deserved. Your assistance was important and was and is most appreciated.

FYI, all that I went through, and all your hard work... was for naught, as I have not received anything from my wife's attorney. I cannot sell my home, I cannot pay for my house, and her attorney has not given me the deed for the house. I have no idea where things stand and have no communication with my wife.

I am trying my best to do what I can to hold on. Please accept this letter as an ending of our "attorney/client" relationship.

Sincerely,

Keith J Perry
