Sheri
Sheri is a good friend of mine. She works in DOGS too. She had the 6th grade boys in her Caravan class a couple of years ago, so they know her and she knows them. She rarely comes on Sunday mornings because she goes to a different church but she comes all the time on Sunday nights. She and I met when she was in about 6th grade and I was 5th grade in choir. Our choir wasn't as fun as the CATS choir, but it was still kinda fun. We roomed together during choir tour in Glennwood Springs and her tube of toothpaste exploded. Not on its own though. She was telling us a story about her sister and was getting so frustrated that she was squeezing the tube really tight. Because of all the pressure she was putting on it, the tube of toothpaste exploded! Toothpaste went everywhere- on the bed, the floor and even the wall. Now I try to make sure I'm not around her when she's holding a tube of toothpaste. A year or so after that incident, her family kind of disappeared from DFC.One Sunday during my junior year of highschool, I was sitting on a table waiting for Sunday School to start when a girl walked in who I didn't recognize. Our youth pastor asked her what her name was and she told him. I overheard the conversation and I looked at her and exclaimed, "Sheri!" It really took me by suprise. We never really hung out because she was 2 (I think) years ahead of me in school and she went into the college group. When I got into the college group, we started hanging out with each other, Miriam and Josh. We got to know each other and we're good friends now.
